      Biggest WILD fail

So I decided last night that I'd try WILDing for the first time, so I put on my alarm to 5AM

I woke up, turned off the alarm and said, "Screw this, I'm too tired to try".

So I woke up about 5 hours later. I decided, "I'll try it this time."

I lay in my bed counting to 100, sleep paralysis kicked in, and I kept repeating to myself, "Remember, it's just a dream" or something like that.

I have no idea when my attempts became a dream, but my dream was me, laying in bed with my eyes closed, waiting for a dream. My body started to shake violently in the dream (I had been reading about reactions like that during sleep paralysis, right before going to sleep, but this was exaggerated) And during the whole thing I just said, "Remember, this is just a dream"

I felt my body floating in the air, and I just said, "stop moving! I have to stay still to WILD!" and fell back down on the bed. Then I "opened my eyes" and said, FORGET IT! This isn't going to work!!"

i was in a completely different house, and I was sleeping upside down on the ceiling, yet I didn't notice.

I don't count these as true lucids because they where not very clear, but until I have my first real lucid these will do.)

oops! That's like last night, my WILD attempt ended in me dreaming that I was WILDing, but I couldn't fall asleep because someone was playing 311 really loud, and I had a bag of tortilla chips with me in bed (?)

i know how you feel... only it wasn't my only attempt.

one time, I attempted WILD and went through all those weird phases, yada yada, floating yeah and i end up have like a false awakening in a restraunt. like i was attempting to WILD while waiting for my food. and these 2 guys (whom don't even exist) wake me up because my food was arriving.

      REEEETARDED!!!

haha that's a good one, but yea, it happened again last night.

I don't know what to do to make myself NOT dream of myself WILDing, it happens everytime.

luigi, don't get discouraged. Study yourself more than anything...what I mean by that is be cognizant of the many variables that affect your success. Tweak them, remain flexible about your approach and more importantly, learn of your failures to improve upon your future attempts.

While lucid dreaming is hardly a skill one masters overnight, diligent persistence and flexibility whittles away at obstinance.

      Lol, I've had similar experiences.

The solution: Make a habit to ALWAYS test your state whenever you "think" you have woken up. If you really get yourself to do this, then every false awakening will turn into a lucid dream.

Unless the RC fails... which is very unlikely if you're doing 2 different ones.

This morning i woke up at 3:00AM. I tried to WILD , but i just couldn't fall asleep or do anything. I just lied on the bed and nothing happened. I was so awake that I got up at 4:00AM I checked the clock first time it was 3:00AM, then i lied down. Next time i checked the clock 40 minutes passed , still seemed like 5 minutes.
