My first really real lucid dream

O man. Last night was great, first really real lucid dream. I have had others over the past ferw weeks when I realize im dreaming, but thats it, I wake up. I was about to give up on trying too. I haven't been to this site in probably a week. But here was my first real controled lucid dream:

I had random dreams throughout the night. I set my alarm for 9, I had to work at 11. I woke at 9 and hit the snooze. I woke at 9:30 and hit the snooze, and had a dream. I went to see a doctor, and waited for him to be available. When he was ready, I went into his office. I asked him something stupid, and then thought again and said ,"I'm having trouble hearing my dreams." He didn't say a word. He pointed to the table and I sat down. He then pulled a poncho over my head and put a lamp to It. I watched him, and in my sleep, felt tired. This was all not at all lucid by the way. I then fell back and "fell asleep in the dream."

I saw nothing, except thoes swirling colors like you get before you fall alseep. Then there was my computer monitor in front of me. I thought, I must be dreaming. I then appeared in my bed, In my room, which was exactly my room, but with much brighter and vivid colors. I said to myself, I am dreaming, and I must be lucid. This was as far as I had gotten in the past. It kept going, so now I started to second guess myself. I thought, how about a reality check! I got off my bed and on my knees on my floor. I grabbed a towel and ran it against my face. I felt it, like the texture. I figured I would try something else. I grabbed my digital camera from my desk and turned it on. The switch to change the mode with was all the way to the right. It needs to be in the middle to take a picture. I thought, well I can close my eyes, and when I open them, the switch will be moved. IT WORKED! Unfortunatly, It moved all the way to the left. So I did it again. It worked again. At this point I was in heaven within myself, a full blown LD, only interupted moments after I took a picture of a stuffed bear on my room that doesn't exsist.

YEAH! Im so happy! it was incredable how realistic it all was, my computer was there, i felt a towels texture, and my digital camera was the same!

The first time you realize how incredibly real lucid dreams are is the best. I remember touching the dashboard of my car and my friends shoulder and being like "I know that I'm dreaming but this is amazingly real". It kinda makes you think about the "reality" of everything around you. I'm glad you had the experience and I hope it gives you the motivation to keep working on your lucid dreaming. Good luck!
