      First Long Lucid

Alright, happy to say I had my first successful long lucid yesterday. It started with me getting tossed around by the guy called slenderman ( which is a game and App ). I was in woods getting thrown 30 feet up high a few times, each time I fell my heart was racing, but somehow this wasn't really scary for me. Around that time I thought if I was dreaming and then it hit me! I was legit dreaming! I then decided that I was going to walk out of the woods, the I ended up in my friends backyard. I was astonished and thought to myself, I wish I can remember this when I wake up! So I kept walking into his house and I opened the sliding door and there was a couple of my friends hanging out there drinking a couple beers. I then talk to them a bit, told them I was dreaming and they just smiled and kept on their business. I then looked at my hands to see if what was told on this forum was true, I saw that my right hand was normal, but when I looked at my left I saw my ring finger shortened to half it's size to almost looking like a thumb. I just was astonished and then looked at a wall in the room and said I'm going to try to go through it, so I put my hands on it after pushing hard and went through to the back yard again! So I was so shocked that I tried it again, but this time it didn't work so i just closed my eyes and pushed again and then I went through the wall and sort of went into 'a new dreamscape, which was my church's parking lot. It was pretty cool and seemed to be a party full of people. One girl asked me for a ride back to her house, but I declined and decided to start walking toward the end of the lot and just simply got bored. I then found a random old man telling me I had to move my car which was at the other side of lot, and I said no and keep walking. After that I closed my eyes again and then opened up a new dreamscape which happened to be giants stadium. I appeared to be in the parking lot and it was now night time with the parking lot lights on and the mood was dull. I started walking around and then saw 3 of my friends sitting on a bench, so I walked up and greeted them all and sat down. We started talking for a couple minutes and then i heard my friend saying yo really loud. I woke up and it was my friend who slept over for night! I quickly wrote down as much as I could. Now everything seems like a blur in my memory, but I'm pretty sure I must of thought it was clear at the time of the dream. And that's my dream, hopefully I get more awesome ones that are much more clearer and rememberable. Overall I think it's estimated 15-20 minutes.

Thanks, what can make my dream realistic and more clear? I would like it to feel life like, but all my dreams and lucid dreams are always a blur.

I think taking more time to fully immense in the dream should help, like noticing more details, touching stuff etc. Also, emotions tend to boost dream vividness, on the whole I would try adding a bit more euphoria to one's actions or the experience of whatever you are looking at.

Finally, you can do day practices like ADA or visualization. ADA will help you notice and soak up more detail and you can continue doing it in dreams. Visualization, especially when practiced daily will help develop parts of the brain used in perceiving dream elements as well as with dream control skills like summoning, changing the scene, etc.

You declined to give the girl a ride back to her house? Come on man! J/k, I do that kinda thing in my dreams all the time too... the exact opposite of what I would usually do.

Awesome dream description! Here's to many more long LDs

Does it feel like in the dream it's clear but after you wake up you have trouble visualizing the dream? If so, it may be just poor recall and working on the recall would help (dream journal - recording all your dreams; possibly even a Waking Life journal where you recount your day at the end of the night (this helped me a lot when I first started getting into Lucid Dreaming a few months ago).
If it's actually blurry while you are in the dream, then proper stabilization should help - engaging all your senses, touching things and observing how they feel, looking at something and observing all the details, giving verbal commands to the dream (stabilize now, increase lucidity, more focus, etc.), licking or biting and chewing something, smelling the air.

You got it spot on LDQ, it's clear in the dream, buts it's hard to remember when I wake up .... My dream recall is pretty bad, my stabilization is not bad, but not as good as I want it to be. I had another DILD 2 days ago, I just can't remember a lot of it, but I remember looking at my hands as an RC and I had 4 extra stubby fingers on my right hand. Then I went to an arcade and then started floating and doing cool stuff and got excited enough to wake up. In my dreams I believe I am naturally better then most at becoming lucid, but I don't remember if I was actually being myself, almost like I had half my mentality and then half is my sub conscious. It's really hard to explain, but I believe the main problem is dream recall. I'll take your advice and keep a live journal for a awhile to see what happens. I'll try a wild tomorrow too and see what happens.

Also, when I try to wild, I always get to this point where a wave hits me of me not feeling my body, then usually my heart rate increases a lot and I focus on it and It stops.... Just wondering how I can just stop thinking about it. I'll give it a try tomorrow morning.
