I had my third WILD this morning. It was awesome and extremely long lasting, but it seems like the lucid dreams I have where I am already dreaming and suddenly realize I am occur in a deeper state of sleep and are more vivid and controllable than my WILDs, although most people report that WILDs are the most incredible of all LD's. Has anybody else experienced this?

Despite what I just said, my WILD this morning was really cool. My brother is staying at my apartment because his lease expired on his last place before his lease begins at his new place. He came in at 3:30 a.m. and woke me up when he opened the door. I got up and ate some food and watched T.V. for an hour and went back to bed, planning to WILD.

It worked. I went through the hypnagogic phase and had crazy hallucinations and everything while I tried to keep my cool and not blow it. Then I was in a full blown dream. I was at a dream world apartment complex, but I was walking toward a wall and went into the wall, and everything went black. I stayed in a state of blackness for a bit and worked my way out of it and was back at the apartment complex. I tried to go to the Eiffel Tower, which I had been trying for a very long time, and I finally got there. It was my first time to try to teleport myself there instead of running on the ocean. Still, getting there was very difficult and took a good bit of work in the midst of trying to stay calm. I looked for people from this site there, remembering how I recently proposed that we all try to show up there and wear orange outfits. I didn't see anybody in orange clothes, but I did see a woman I asked to meet me there a while back. She is an internet friend I have never seen in person or talked to on the phone, and seeing her in the dream was the most vivid moment in the whole thing. It seemed completely real. That part only lasted about three seconds, and then I was back at the dream world apartment complex I started at in the dream. I willed myself to experience extreme ecstasy, and I did. I willed myself to feel an extremely intense rush, and it worked. Then I tried to have lucid sex after willing myself to have an outrageously extreme sex drive. It worked, but the sex with the woman I had a very hard time making appear only lasted a few seconds because the scene vanished. Then I was back at the dream world apartment complex. I tried to make the apartment I was in look really psychedelic and colorful. That worked, for a few seconds. Then I went riding and walking around with dream world friends for what seemed like hours, and at that point I believed I was actually sleep walking and couldn't control my environment any more than in the waking state. When we got back to the apartment complex, I bounced a golf ball off the second story with the hope that it would keep bouncing endlessly and I would end up catching it in a later lucid dream. Then I woke up.

As interesting as it was, I felt like I was in a lighter, less vivid dream state than with other LD's, and as I illustrated above, it was very difficult to control. I think that might have something to do with the fact that I entered it directly from the waking state, although that apparently works to many people's advantages. Does anybody know what the deal might be?
