      shocking experiences

Hi there, this is my first post, but i just have to get rid of some thought's I've got...

Ok, I have known about LD for about two years now but realy started to read about it just two days ago. Now I think that I had a WILD experience (not just wild, although it was prety wild too )

It started with a dream that made me wake halfway up. You know, that state where you can decide if you want to get back to sleep or not, just by relaxing. Thinking about the previous dream, i started thinking about LD/WILD and thought "well, what the heck, let's give it a try" I started relaxing (I have to admit that my knowledge of WILD is very limited so i hope that this is at least partly te right way) and the lucid dream came after a few seconds. i was aware that I was only halfway asleep.

I have to say that my LD experience was disturbing It started wit me asking myself the question "what to do now?". Then i started shaking violently. I am pretty sure that this happened in reality, and not just in the dream. my experience of this LD (if it was one, but i'm pretty sure it was) was like one of those nightmares from your childhood that you'll always remember. It was very vivid! The dream was not a nightmare , it was not disturbing at all, but the experience frightened me. I remember feeling very unconfortable with the situation and desperately trying to get out of it. I felt like i was drowning, in the sense that the situation got worse and worse. i tried to kick my blanket of me, and when I woke up, part of it was kicked away too (I just stop there )

Was this a LD? I was very sure that I had a LD while I was dreaming. But it came after only 3 hrs of sleep. is that possible? And as I said, i only read seriously about LD two days ago .

Has someone had similar experiences? I guess that most of you would say that i just wasn't ready for LDs after just two days. I could agree, but do you then think that it will get better in the future? Right now, i'm frightened by LD! And believe me, that took a while to admit. I am a bit ashamed about writing this... am i becoming a fruitcake?

I may be mistaken, but I believe that what you experienced was actually a stage of the WILD, usually called the vibrational stage. It is characterized by the sensation of your body vibrating. I cannot quite explain the fact that you thought you were dreaming, though it could have been hypnagogic imagery - a sort of pre-dream. Does this sound like what you experienced?
Well life is short, so love the one ya' got, 'cause you might get run over or you might get shot.

      Thanks for the reply!

yes, actually, a sort of pre-dream sounds right. It didn't have any real content, just a few images (a bunch of guys painting pictures on the graound in a big yard) without a real connection. And as I said: it was not a nightmare but it certainly felt like it.
