Welcome to Dream Views! And yes, I would say that is a lucid dream because you realized you were dreaming in the dream. You experienced a False Awakening and I haven't experienced one of those in a few years. (from what I can remember) |

Soo, I had this dream where I was like, "oh Sh^t this is a dream" then I woke up in that dream and I was like "aww I nearly had a lucid dream" and then I actually woke up.. This was the first time I woke up in a dream. Did anyone ever experience this? and would this be a lucid dream? |

Like Sharpshoey already said, it looks like you had a brief moment of lucidity followed by a false awakening. The reason that happened is because you probably got over-excited and "woke" yourself up quickly after becoming lucid. Next time you realize you're dreaming just try to stay as calm as possible and quickly stabilize the dream. You could also perform reality checks every time you wake up to prevent false awakenings. |

A lucid dream is any dream in which you realize you are dreaming. |

~ until the very end
Clearly a lucid dream, because you realised it. Some call this type "layer 1" lucid dreams, because as soon as you realised you were dreaming, you woke up. My first lucid was like this. And false awakenings are common after these things too. This means you are getting better. Keep it up!! |
