      First real lucid dream

I've had a couple of dreams about lucid dreaming before, but finally, this one was the real deal. I attained lucidity at the end of another dream, here's the full story:

I was dreaming I was walking in a mall with a friend, and for some reason I had to gain entry to an 'Employees Only' area. There was a door that was marked as such, so I decided to charge in. There were a lot of computers, and I decided I needed to hack something (I have no idea what), so I went to work. All of the sudden, a friend of mine is next to me telling me he made a really cool forum picture for me involving kittens and blood. I didn't even seem to mind him much, he was simply telling people behind him about me while I was there working on the computer. Then an employee bursts in, and I know he's trying to catch the guy who doesn't have permission to be here, so I play it cool and act natural. He believes he stopped the guy from hacking, and calls me 'David', like he knows me and thinks it the most natural thing in the world I'm there.

Still here? Good, because here's where it gets interesting. The dream collapsed, and I started waking up. I still could hear people talking in my dream, and although I could not remember what they were saying, I remember thinking at one point "What am I supposed to do with all this information?". At that point, I realized that I just had a dream, and I was on the verge of waking up (I could already feel my bed). So, I started thinking how I could keep from waking up, and I remembered dream spinning. So I tried to spin with all my might (I was really determined not to let the dream go), and suddenly I hear this sergeant/bootcamp-style voice yelling things at me, somewhat like he was telling me to push on and keep on spinning, but the actual content of the messages was quite random. After about ten seconds of trying to spin, I achieved the sensation of spinning, and I let that intensify. I could no longer feel my bed, and suddenly I saw a street. It's one in my neighbourhood, and it was void of any activity. I remembered that first lucid dreams generally don't last very long, so I decided quickly on what to do. I thought that the prerequisite for doing anything was first having a mode of transportation, so I chose the classic; I tried to fly. It took nothing more than a small jump and some willpower, and I flew up to about 30 meters above ground. I feel I could have done more, but at this point, I woke up.

But my first LD was a succes! I got to try dreamspinning and salvaged my dream from a very near death, and I could even fly. Can't wait for my next one, I'll see if I can extend it by then. There's still lots I want to try.
