      First LD :)

So, this morning it happened! My first LD!

This is what happened: I woke up at about 8 AM because of my sore throat, drunk a glass of water and went back to sleep. I had my LD a couple hours later! Yay, I'm so happy 8)

Here's the dream for the ones interested: I was at some dull party with my family and my grandparents. Some cousins were also there. It was an old roman-style building that was nicely decorated. I have no idea what kind of party it was but as I was walking through the hallway I suddenly became lucid... no RC and no dream signs... I just KNEW I was dreaming.
Everything around me became to fade away slowly so I walked forward, where I could still see something. The dream came back and everything was clear again. Then I began to think what to try out first, something simple. The first thing that came to my mind was sex, but there weren't any hot chicks around. I tried to summon one but didn't succeed, or maybe I didn't try hard enough, guess I didn't want it that much (surprising!). Then flying came to my mind, as it is something I have always wanted to do. I ran out of the house into the night and jumped in the air, it worked! I was flying! It was so totally awesome... I was high in the night sky and saw the city lights... beautiful! The weird thing was that I saw no horizon. The ground was a square! Like from some pc game! That didn't bother me much so I continued flying in big circles. I made some really big scaled swoops. That was so much fun that I just kept screaming "woohoo!" or so... After a while I found a flagpole. I decided to do some experimenting. I landed and tried to jump on the pole and stay standing on it. I tried a few times but didn't hit it... Then I tried levitating beside it, also didn't work. I was just jumping 10 metre high jumps. A little girl was watching me... Heh, you should have seen the look on her face!
I flew back to the party, kicked the door open and, in a bit of a clumsy fashion, flew through the hallway to where everybody was. I had sort of a power aura around me so everything loose around me was moving a little, like there was wind inside the building. Then I landed and got stuck talking to my grandpa. oh no! There was no way out! It is so wrong but I tried to make his head explode (sorry grampa). luckily I didn't succeed. Anyway the dream ended there.

I'm so happy my training shows results this soon! Considering that I started on the 8th of September. The only thing I've been doing is the dream journal whenever I remember something (there was a pause that lasted for like a week) and reality checks every now and then. This gave me lots of confidence and I want to improve! I wanna have these kind of dreams more often!

Reminds me alot of my first LD. I tried sex and flying like you did too. However your attempt at flying seemed more fruitful than mine did; all I did was fly slower than walking speed 10 feet off the gorund over a grey field. Good job on your first LD, and may you have many more.

Yes! I love flying in my dreams, but you sounded like you got pretty high and did pretty well. I have a little bit of trouble with not taking off and then swooping down and landing on the ground by accident. I've never tried jumping really high too often though. I think I should try that next time I have a dream. (And maybe explore my dream environment some more)

Good job! It seems like your first lucid was a fairly long one. I haven't had a lucid yet. But I am getting there. Two weeks ago when I first joined, my dream recall was very crappy. I would only remember 1 dream every month. Now I am remembering 1 every night! Talk about improvement! Once I get a little better at remembering I will try to become lucid. I still to RT's though once in a while while I am awake just in case.

yep, you're definitely getting there... That LD of mine came totally unexpected...

as I said I had no idea how I found out it was a dream, it just came to me.

Just think you'll have one and be confident about it... you'll have one soon, too.
