      Borderline lucid experience

So, I believe this technically counts as an LD, since I did realize I was dreaming... Yet I didn't get to affect the dream much, and the end result is quite silly. Here's what happened to me last night.

In the non-lucid part of the dream, I was driving around in a open-topped car (open-topped as in it had no roof, no hood, basically the upper half of the car was non-existant), when suddenly I realize that I am dreaming for no particular reason. The car is gone at this instant, and I am standing on the road near my old school. Although I realized I was dreaming, I had no control whatsoever, and my dream self started trying to fly (although that's not on my list of things to do at first). I got about 5 meters (15ft) above the ground before I suddenly plummet back to the road. I try it once more, same result. Now, I get a semi-transparent screen overlaying the original image of the road, with me behind the computer, asking on DV how it is possible I keep falling down. The reply to that question (by no poster in particular, if you're curious) was something like this: "This is so obvious I don't even know why I am awnsering it. You don't accelerate fast enough, so you get hit by the snowball." Of course, the snowball, why didn't I think of that? My dream self thought this to be completely reasonable, however, and the screen disappears and I find myself again on the same road. Now, I decide to burst into flames while flying, to counteract that devious snowball. I will never know the result, as it went black at that point.
I instantly start dreamspinning (mind you, I'm in no manner of control here, my dream self decided this), and I see half a face and an eye (the eye looks like a Sharingan... Google image it if you don't know what it looks like and really want to know, I'm too lazy too attach an image), with the same kind of colors you would get from closing your eyes and applying pressure to them, a sort of green and yellow.
The dream comes back, but now it looks like I'm watching that road on a TV, and I have my head pressed against the screen. It looked grainy and the image had round edges, and it seemed distant, like I wasn't actually in there, but just watching. At this point, my dream self (still no control) decides to increase lucidity and clarity of the dream (that is the first thing I want to do during my next lucid, not flying), but fails to yell anything like "CLARITY", because the dream is all fuzzy and sort of degrading here. After that, it ends.

I thought it quite weird to be lucid, but have no measure of control at all, but still watch your dream self do things you'd want to do in a lucid dream. Also, this is the second time I've tried using MILD (repeating to myself over and over that I am going to have a lucid dream just before I fall asleep), and this is also the second time my mind has responded with something near, but not quite lucidity. Last time, it was a dream about me becoming lucid. This time, I actually became lucid but did not have any control. Regardless, there've been no instances with no reaction at all, so I seem to react strongly to MILD. Going to try it again tonight, but I fear I might be too tired for it to work. I'll keep you posted on what happens, for anyone who is interested.

Snowballs... seriously, the things the sleeping mind thinks up are just too much sometimes!

In another note, I shall have to try bursting into flames, whether I do it while flying or not. It should be fun.

Indeed, it's on my list now as well.
And the third MILD attempt yielded nothing, though that's to be expected. I was a little too tired, I think.
