      Too real

Hey everyone, what do you do when all those reality checks dont work? I had a dream.. (in my head right now, calling it a dream sounds so stupid...) It was too real, the time line was even right it would have been the next day I had the dream on thursday so it was friday the 26th it had events that would have occured people I was supposed to hang out with. light worked everything was solid everything.. The first time I checked was due to the fact that I jumped onto and immediatly off a hand rail in my back yard that goes down a little hill. The thing was my desire to fly manifest, I hung in the air for just too long, probably around 5 or so seconds, that may not seem like alot but think about it, when was the last time you spent 5 seconds in freefall jumping off something only 3 feet high and down another 3 feet due to the hill.

I felt it too felt the energy the rush and the understanding. I turned around and looked at my friend, his eyes were wide "Did I jsut see what I thought I saw?" This is when I went through the checks i could standing in the yard. Everythings solid, time line is right, I checked lights later for the hell of it and they worked. I kept saying I gotta be dreaming, but I wasnt!! I decided to try again, I jumped straight up and pulled, thats kind of what it felt like. Pulling onself up using the very air itself and at the same time weakining gravitys hold on you. And this was no easy task, I managed to jump at least 5 feet into the air, my feet from the ground and, I held it for a couple of seconds. The strain was incredible, and fatigue built up to a point where I just kind of half fell and faught to keep myself from busting my ass my knees buckled and I was out of breath. Wholy crap wholy crap this was it, everything was going to change, I cant beleive I did it... "My friend said "I cant beleive you actually figured it out" They all joke that I needed to figure out how to fly or teleport one of these days, I always said I was working on it. Well the dream is much longer, coverd the events of that entire day, I ended up freaking out the neghbor, she called the cops, they came out of the fact there was a hysterical woman on the other line I guess, when they arrived we were drinkin beers in the yard... (much needed) the cop asked what her problem was, I was grinning like an idiot at that point and my friend looked at me and said "Dude" (meaning evan what are you F&$#ing nuts you cant show them!) .. odd how one word can convey such different meanings just by varying its inflection. I pulled myself off the ground without having to jump now, the fatigue lessened each time I recovered and tried again, it was still alot of effort but I didnt collapse this time.
Well anyways the one freaked the other shocked, I hate having guns pulled on me. He didnt shoot or anything he was just scared, hell I was as scared as he was when I fist figured out what I was doing. There was no crazy scientists trying to lock me away and study me, i didnt have to battle monsters, and cops and the military, I ended up going to a hospital or lab later that day so they could check me out and run some tests. I was supposed to see one of my friends and I called and told her to meet me at the hopital I told her everything was fine, but I had to show her something there, She ended up finding me in a hall. She didnt look right though, she was too short, she is 4'11 so compared to my 6'3ness she is a lil short, but she seemed too short, We hugged and she said "Ok so what have youdragged me all the way to a hospital to see?" I lifted myself off the ground again and she just laughed and said how happy she was for me. but then the realization of how short she was sunk in, and the dream collapsed in on itself and woke me rather violently...

Soooo i duno... I just duno what to do about these, anymore, sure I was flying and I guess in my mind flying isint that inpossible but after doing all those reality checks... it was just too real for me to be able to tell it was a dream. Untill that one very slight change in my friends height, just shattered the dream.

I've had some dreams kind of like that before. Where you have a power and you think you actually have it. It's cool that you were so suspicious that it was a dream. I usually just think I'm the next superman or something and I just go around and show-off.

It's also way cool how your mind seems powerful enough to make the reality checks work, although I would think that would make it harder to become lucid.

In my experience, I've learned that no matter how vivid and real my dream is, if I do, or see something impossible, I know for a fact that I must be dreaming. None of us have ever seen anything impossible in real life other than magic tricks, therefore, when it happens, we have to be dreaming.
