So close...

Last night was a rather troublesome night for me. I kept waking up every half hour or so (probably due to the caffeine I had before going to bed )... At about 3:30 in the morning, after being awake for I don't know how long, I decided I should be using this time to get something done. So I tried to WILD. My past experiences in this haven't been too successful, I always seem to be too giddy and excited for it, but somehow this stir of the moment kind of decision seemed to work. I day(almost)dreamed for a few minutes until I felt my arms and legs get heavy and relaxed. I was a little surprised at how fast it happened, but didn't think about it and concentrated on my breathing. This is about as far as I get everytime I try this technique. I either fall asleep or get bored of it and just stop. This time, however, I quickly felt the floating or drifting sensation that signaled that I was going to sleep. This only lasted a minute at most and immediately following it was a tingling sensation in my feet, almost as if they had fallen asleep but stronger. This was accompanied by a strong desire to move my feet, but I resisted and it soon went away. Then it became problematic when my eyelids started to rapidly open and close. This was annoying at first, but then drew my attention away toward it and my breathing quickly became quick and shallow. I knew I was getting too excited over it, but I couldn't get a grip on my breathing and I involuntarily pulled out of the WILD. I'm hoping to try again soon, and maybe next time I won't have to deal with that again. At least I know that I can get that far, hopefully I can eventually enter lucidity from there.
