      Ld in math?

I was in math class today when my boredom overcame me and I fell asleep. The teacher at the time was reviewing for a test. I could hear what she was saying while I was asleep and was doing in my dream what I would be doing if i wasnt asleep- paying attention to her review. Everything was fuzzy in my periphial vision so I said, "Im dreaming!". I looked around and was thinking of how to take advantage of this situation when.... the person in front of me woke me up for my review sheet.

I wish i could do that every day- sleep, dream, and still comprehend what the teacher is saying

Man that would be awesome. I would go up and poke my dream teacher and do whatever I wanted, meanwhile I would still be hearing what she had to say. Then when she woke me up and accused me of being asleep in class and not paying attention I could repeat everything she had taught.

Lol. I was the king of that.
Not only could I dose off, sitting straight up, but whenever I was called on, I knew exactly where the teacher had left off.

Yeah, I know exactly what it is like to do that.
The teachers all say that I am zonked, but untrue, as I tell them that I am dreaming that I watch them teach, & even write on the board. I can see the clock, & anything that happens. It is so cool, but I don't like having another person in my particular seat besides me!!! I can repeat what the teacher said, can say what time he did everything, & might even be able to spot some troublemakers. The only catch is that I have to go back to my seat to wake up!

      Hehehe that's cool : )

I have though about that too. I would set the teacher on fire or something. Not to mention all the hot girls I would..... errr.. Anyway, What time was it? If it was early It might have been like WBTB..

I usually do it in my Sem class, but may do it in English, too, when you are not there. Of course, we are only lucid dreaming, b/c even though we can view the clock, the teacher (and listen to her), and even watch out for troublemakers, having an unconscious person in your desk looking like you, and defying gravity in a white robe isn't necessarily reality (Excellent RC!!), so we then realize it is a dream, right splash?

It happens to me all the time when I am riding passenger in a car and fall asleep. I'm asleep, but I can hear everything around me. It's definately not the same level of sleep that you were at, but I was sleeping and aware of it.

i often times find i can do that to an extent, i think its a good idea to learn to do that, simply because you can pay attention to your teacher and let your body sleep (plus the pause and playback of whatever they said incase you miss anything)

i often find if i fall asleep while no-one in the room is talking, i can keep my 'headspace' open enough to actually sink into a sleeping state and not dream, but instead begin to pick up on the flow of consciousness around me

this morning i did this and i basically heard the thoughts of the few people around me

      interesting
      Why?

I would try this but what happens when you get carried away with the dream girls of your class and get your pants dirty?

Damn, girl, that's the most insane thing I've ever heard! If I could do that, I would have the most fun...But I don't think I would spend my time listening to my teacher's lecture....

Better than the guy that talks to things that aren't even there tracking me down and asking me on a date.
I do it, because if there is some sort of danger in the classroom, I can go back to my seat a lot faster. Also, it is fun to confuse the teachers and have them going uhhh..... `~_~
It isn't like doing that in the sanctity of your own home, because believe it or not, you are actually quite vulnerable during this time you have that dream, and leaving the classroom with some kids that could possibly beat you up....that is not a good idea, making yourself a sitting duck!

Those experiences sound neat, but I cannot say I exactly condone sleeping in school. I guess I've just come across too many people who sleep in class and come to me asking for help...That annoys me to no end. However, if you can manage it, do it. Sounds neat.

In our school it's not that common to fall asleep and it's kinda frowned upon. I always used to dose off a little and then some dumb kid behind me would nudge me. Some teacher's even got used to my sleepiness, lol I never really dreamed (that I could see imagery or stuff) but that's where it would go if no one woke me up as soon as I closed my eyes...

If I'm tired I usually sleep in the bus, it's very relaxing and sometimes I even have dreams there

You know, if everyone could lucid dream then the whole teaching process would be much more interesting... Maybe even easier to understand. Everyone would just sleep in class and the teacher would teach as if everyone was awake.
