      First concious LD exp.

I had a two seconds lucid dream last night. It was intense; I could see colours and lights and things so clearly and brilliantly n sharply. I was in my room, floating upwards towards the ceiling looking out of my window as the blinds beautified colourful lights that were outside. Then it vanished, and I was suddenly wakefully conscious.

I think that humans have a lot of evolution to do during sleep. Currently it is time unconsciously spent; we're like any other animal when asleep. We’ve become painfully aware during the day, but at night we’re ‘asleep’ - completely animalist and unconscious. If all humans can become conscious in their dreams the potential for our race could be unimaginable. I've read shit about telepathic communication and 'shared dreams' on some LD forums; I am very fascinated in this phenomenon.

Hey there Astromancer, welcome to the site, and congrats on your first LD -- however short it may have been. Keep working at it, and I'm sure you'll stretch those lucids out and be able to do all kinds of amazing things.

      i'm happy for you

some eastern mystics believe the deepest level of sleep is the most beneficial to the individual, as all subjective constructs are dissolved, and only absolute union with All That Is remains.

i believe one day LD'ing will be common, and do much to bring humanity together.

Welcome to Dream Views, man. And congrats. 8)

I see the Western world slowly beginning to become aware of the ways of the East, who knows where lucid dreaming will be in the next 10 years? I agree with you, though.

lucid dreaming doesnt just unlock potential for the telekenesis and shared lucid dreams

think about how easy it would be to learn anything, literally since dreams take place in the astral you have access to every bit of knowledge ever experienced here on the earth, or any other planet, or any sun for that matter, or even transdimensional knowledge is simple to find once you understand the ways of lucidity

the one thing i want to learn how to fool time, that has always been my biggest obstacle, i want to spend aeons inside the dream world, think about it, i could have more knowledge than any other human over the course of 1 hour of an extended lucid dream

plus, muscle memory development, literally you learn how to do something in the physical world then perfect it while you sleep, you could learn to shoot hoops or kick a football perfectly, or even (i have a friend who does this) programs entire linux programms inside his dream and wakes up and writes the thing from scratch in the waking world

the potential, god i want to get where im lucid all the time, this is aggravating
      Why?

It is a very aazing thing to be a part of... I for one am VERY glad I found out about this... Just think though, when we are asleep, we are in a LIVING thought. Those that have been there know how real it is, how we can interact with it all... It is another reality somewhat. Where does this take place? In the mind? No, it cant be just an extension of thought, it is too real, too deep for thought. Thought is a picture, a moment you remember almost, lucid dreaming is a whole different thing. ..When you go to sleep, and have a lucid dream, we seperate ourselves from the animals, BUT where does this 'new world' we experience take place? We are almost in a new universe, a new plane. Our 'souls' are made of energy, electricity, and who is to say that when one sleeps we do not become 'one' with the energy around us again...

Ok, I'm done with my rant =D
God, grant me the courage the change the things I can, the serenity to accept the things I can't, and the wisdom to know the difference...

Reality itself is a dream. By far the majority of this universe is built of nothingness - dark-Mata or whatever. Our imaginations produce what we see, hear, smell, feel – everything, all of it is imagination's interpretation of the physical universe. My opinion is our consciousness (whatever that is) is free from our senses and their interpretation whilst sleeping. I would love to believe there are mystical aspects of lucid-dreaming – indeed I DO deep down – but that I cannot without much doubt. LDs could simply be the produce the vast proportion of our ever-wake subconscious.

Astromancer I think you're on pot.

lol sorry, I was just kidding

      Welcome to the forums!

I really do appreciate your insights and thoughts though.

I also think that reality is not real. I've read many theories on that.

How are you so smart, when your pic shows you smoking...

lol just kidding. I think your thoughts are interesting. Let's discuss more.

That's really cool. The programming part.

I can do programming stuff in my mind, by thinking about it and visualizing stuff. The most troubling part is just remembering the variables when I assign numbers and stuff to them. I use a notepad for that.
      ( I make games)

Then I go home and typing it all out.

This is the master's manner of design and invent. The mind/imagination is extremely effective and accurate for these and similar design systems. One of my friends is an electrical engineer, he claims to have the ability to 'test run' equipment in his head by imaging a current of electricity running through every ‘stage’ it goes through. He says whenever he 'thinks' there is a fault at a certain point invariably there one appears. Amazing, innit?

You should strive to master this attribute 3d, as it could prove very helpful to any career you undertake. No system can be runned of even designed without an individual possessing sufficient imagination processing power.

My daddy always said to me a system is God.
