I'm fairly new here and didn't realize there are so many dream terms. The wild thing has truck my interest but not excactally sure what it really is. I've read many techniques on how to do this, but really am looking for a definition please. |

life is but an empty dream
Entering your dream conciously by viewing hypnagognic imagery (passively) and watching as it develops into a full dream, where you enter and are fully lucid. |

Yep... from my knowledge and other's experience (though, not my experience... I have very little in the WILD method), it is unwise to attempt WILD the first time you go to sleep... wake up in the middle of the night and it should take considerably less time to enter your dream. IT takes 90 minutes to get into REM the first time, and an hour and a half of laying down not moving and staying awake can seem like days... (20 minutes seems like ages). |

Sure, sometimes you may wake up in the middle of the night and go back in your dream quite quickly. But everyone "experiences hypnagognic imagery" if they stay concious long enough, and sure, I don't deny that some people can do it faster than others, but you can't just lie down and enter a dream in a second. I don't see what's "fucking childish" about what I'm saying. |

Everyone has the capability of seeing hypnagogic imagery. |
