no pot for 5 weeks,7th day of journal,1st Ld

Oh my i am so excited,Iwas starting to wonder, even though it is still early.
Ihave been trying to concentrate before bed, checking my breathing and doing reality checks during the day.

I also thought maybe just having good recall and goig back to my same dream after waking (wich i do wake and flip over 5 to 8 times a night )i always check time to keep track of my sleep paterns.I thought this may be some form of lucid dreaming but helll no

Now i know ...Iwoke up when my wife left the bed around 4:30 yesterday am
and i got on my back wich i never do ,started thinking bout wilding and my breathing then all of a sudden im outside with wife ,i told her not to wake me because i was dreaming saw my bro in law leave my front door (hes in alberta )good reality check lol also plugged my nose to se if air would come in cuz i read that on someones post (it didnt work my nose was just plugged)

im walking to back yard wich looks the same but different got the back on the high part ,heard birds...looking at everything in totalamazement and clarity
then i went and tried to fly (read that too)sorta half heartingly knowing that i shouldnt ...fell to the ground gently after leaping a few feet up.i stayed there laying in pine needles for a bit cursing myself for trying such an advanced move and then i woke up on my back

i checked the time and it was about 3 to 5 minutes after my wife had originaly
got up (remember i always look at time and have good recall of this)

did i wild ??? or did i L.D. or a combination of both ??? anyway im spyched ,i was exilirated pumped ,happier that a pig in poo.i felt so good .
a great big thank you to dreamviews and the few who replied my post in the newbie section

sorry for the long winded post but im sure you can understand

i will be looking for adoption and hope my improvement continues

thanks all and good night . smoke [/quote]

      Congratulations, smoke.

Don't worry, even some of the pros fall on our faces when trying to fly, sometimes. :sweat1:

You may even get it the next time you try.

      Well done!

Sounds like a full blown LD to me, you just didn't have much control.

Doesn't sound like you did WILD though as if you had I would expect you to have seen some hypnagogic imagery (funny shapes and colours) before you entered the dream.

I wonder if it is directly related to you smoking pot?
I smoke daily, when I have stopped for smoking for a few days my dreams seem to be very vivid.
I'd like to give up for a while to see if it helps me with my Ld's but I love to smoke too much!

Congrats, and welcome to the club.!

Sounds like a WILD to me. I don't know that hypnagogic imagery is mandatory to make it a WILD. The first time I tried to WILD I sat down in a chair, went to sleep, and became lucid without any imagery. (just beginners luck; could never do it again)
