last night... (question about dream control)

ok, last night in my dream, I was in sime sort of barn or something, and I decided to do a RC. I plugged my nose, and I could breathe. Now I messed around with that for a while, then I looked at my hands, they actually looked completely normal, just like real life, nothing odd i could see. So anyway, I rembered some of the things I wanted to try. I want to fight a bunch of agents smiths like in the matrix. So I closed my eyes, when I opened them, there was only one guy there, who didn't look at all like agent smith. He said, "lets fight" so, I kinda did some flying kicks and stuff. Then, i wanted to get outside the barn, so I closed my eyes and spun again. nothing happened. I think my subcouncious mind was teasing me. and what was funny was that my next dream was about coming to dream views and posting about my LD. wait, am I dreaming now? (does RC) whew, good, i'm glad all that typing wasn't for nothing. anyway, I guess my question is, what can I do to get ALOT more dream control, I figure that's the next step.

I think also practicing in real life can help. Not going out looking for Agent Smiths, but sitting down and using your imagination to vividly re-create the Agent Smiths. What I find happens to me is my mind isn't fighting against me so much as it does not have the resources to create the image I want. You have to strengthen those brain cells just like you do studying for an exam. By mental rehearsal.

For example, when I first started doing lucid dreams, I could look at text in a dream and then re-check it and find it was different. Happened that way everytime. But eventually, the text began to remain stable in my dreams. I remember looking at some numbers on a building ("2818") and then re-checking them twice and they remained stable. So, I thought I was not dreaming. But I was and remembered the next morning.

I think what happened was I trained my mind to hold text stable. I would do maybe 30 or 40 RCs during my waking day that involved re-checking text. Doing that over and over, my mind eventually developed the skill of holding text in -- I guess you'd call it my RAM -- until I looked back at the book or sign or whatever. Same thing began to happen in my dreams.

I find that if you want a certain experience in a lucid dream, you have to strengthen your imagination during the day with "day-dreams" about that experience. Trying to make them as vivid as possible. Your mind acquires the skill.
