      8th Lucid?

I think I had another lucid dream last night but there seems to ALWAYS be somethin to make me think it wasnt...

There were two things...I havent really done anything except do alot of flying and whatnot in my dreams...

Im pretty sure if I could actually control them I would do more by the 8th time...

Another thing is I was conviently wearing a watch and yeah it did change...but I did check it AFTER I realized I was lucid (I was walking with someone where I usually wouldnt be at and I thought "Hey...why am I here?"...

But in the dream all I did really was try to spawn people and I did the spin thing to make it more clear and it worked...

if by the eight time you still aren't sure if you are lucid, you should clarify to yourself what you will, and will not accept as an actual 'lucid dream'.

being lucid in the conventional sense doesn't neccessarily imply full control (or any for that matter).
it simply means knowing that you are dreaming while still in the dream. saying, "hey, i am dreaming right now, not participating in everyday waking life".

personally, i rank my lucids as low, medium, and high. i've had over a dozen lows, more than a dozen mediums, and only one high. perhaps something similar would help you classify your dreams...

Well if I can actually CONTROL it then I know its lucid...

...if I cant then it could just be a dream where I think Im dreaming...

...then again when I can "control" the dream...maybe its just me thinking Im controlling a dream...

I'm not sure if you've had any like this yet, but it's very possible (even common) to have dream control without knowing you're dreaming. A lot of times, people will have control of themselves, and even some of their surroundings, interacting with things completely as if it was waking life, but being able to bend things to their will. Thing is, many people that experience this still don't know they're dreaming. Happens to me all the time.
A full-blown lucid dream is simply a dream where you Know you're dreaming. Even if you decide to just let the dream play out, and don't even participate, (let alone control the dream) as long as you know you're dreaming, you're lucid dreaming.

So try not to even think of control and lucidity as similar concepts. Trust me, it will do nothing but confuse you, as it does a lot of people.

it seems like you are making things way too complicated.

if you have a dream where you think you are dreaming....YOU ARE DREAMING...

put it this way.if in a dream you conclude "i am in a dream, and my physcial body is safe in bed" ..you are lucid dreaming. period. even if some zombie comes out of the woodwork and starts pissing in your face and you can't move, but are thinking "this is messed up...why do i have zero control when this is a dream"...you are lucid.

whereas, you could have a dream where a zombie starts pissing in your face, and you freeze his urine telepathically, jab him through the throat with it, and then ride off into the sky on his deep frozen piss stick, and still not be lucid.

although, if the first scenario happens (you are aware your physical body is asleep, and you are dreaming), and THEN you take control, you have lucidity and control

*shrugs* again, i think you are making things too complicated. if you wish to, that's up to you.
