      Created Portal to other Dream

One of my favorite lucid dreams was when I was being chased by some monster. Somehow I realized it was just a dream and I wanted to try a neat way to get away. So I stuck out my index finger and drew a big circle in air. This circle became a portal through whcih I jumped and was in a different dream. It was different only because the environment seamed to have change from dark and chaotic to calm and open. When I jumped I also changed form into something like a gargoyle. The monster chased into this dream as well, but I either got away or woke up cause that's as much as I remember.

      Hi Zexel

Sounds like a good dream. I was interested in the fact that you changed into 'something like a gargoyle' - Gargoyles ward off bad spirits (and are therefore protective) so it kind of fits the general theme of your dream.

Did this dream have any effect on your waking reality?

      Waking Reality?

Since I'm a beginner I'm not sure as to what you are referring to as waking reality. If you could please explain what it is I may have a more responsive answer.

I can't say I really know anything about what you're talkinga bout , but I said plausible because of that incredibly cool blind spot trick .

      Re: Waking reality

      Hi
Yes I mean in the 'real world'.

I call it waking reality because using the term 'real world' makes it sound like dreams aren't real.

For me dream reality and waking reality are just two different realities - two different places we experience in different ways.

It's not a technical term - just a phrase I use to describe the place we experience when we are physically awake

Oh... well I'm not sure what was goin on in my 'waking reality' at that point in time. Nothing to significant I suppose. Alot of times the dreams I have I try to apply them to what's going on in my 'waking reality', but I don't seem to make the link. For instance, in one dream that I had (not a LD) There was a form of a woman covered in snakes. She gave a warning and as I passed her one of her snakes bit me on the ankle. However, I wasn't dealing with an issue of some woman trying to seduce me (cause I'm married and was at the time of this dream) or hurt me whether physically or mentally. So, I'm not sure how some dreams apply like the two in question.

      Hi Zexel

Dreams aren't often literal in their meaning (although sometimes they can be!) - they present you with information in a symbolic way. So it's about finding what it means to you.

The snake woman as you suggested may have something to do with 'seduction' but it doesn't have to be literally somebody trying to seduce you. It could be talking about feeling seduced by ideas or thoughts.

In fact my own interpretation of the snake and the woman made me think of the idea of 'temptation' (Adam and Eve and all that) and we can be tempted to do lots of things.

I often try to bring the interpretation down to a simple sentence to reflect upon - in this case if I had had the dream I would say

Something is warning me that I might get 'bitten' if I pass something by.

I might then think about what the 'somethings' are.

      Snakes incidentally are about wisdom

And the ankle is a flexible joint that allows us to walk

      Bright Blessings
      Leah
