Thread: HELP!!! how can i easily get lucid?

Getting lucid easy is like getting enlightened easy: it aint. I know you hate to hear it, but it just takes practice. There are tons of techniques to try on this site; have you checked them out? They really do work.

As for getting distracted by your thoughts, I can relate to that. I found the best way to deal with it is to sit back and watch your thoughts like you would watch a movie. The biggest mistake people make when trying to clear their mind is to try to stop thinking. It's not possible. In fact, it just leads to more thoughts, and becomes a downward spiral of frustration. Here's me, speaking from experience. If you can learn to passively observe your thoughts, and not become involved with them by sticking more thoughts on the chain, then after a while, they settle themselves down, and you're free to focus your mind on a particular thought, like lucid dreaming. Again, it takes practice, but nobody here is selling anything. It is possible. Good luck!

Hey, Pieman - Sorry you're having some trouble LDing.

How is your dream recall? Are you still remembering at least one dream per night? Are you keeping up and recording every dream in your dream journal? If you've been neglecting your DJ at all, I'd concentrate on getting that back up to date. That will be your most important tool in establishing dreamsigns, and recording how different techniques work for you. This Quick Start Tutorial will show you how to categorize your DJ's dreamsigns.

Wouldn't we all like to be able to LD easily. You should try maybe napping. Thats how I have most of my LDs. Think about lucid dreaming while falling asleep.

How to easily do lucid dreaming? No free rides. But, strong determination does work!

Also: How often do you question the nature of reality in this realm? If you are like most people, then you probably don't do question it very often. If you don't question it here, you won't question it in dreams.

Start by asking yourself, "Is this a dream, or real?" Really search for the answer. The more you do it here, the more likely to you are to do it there.

Yeah. I hope you don't think it will be an easy endeavor. It's hard most of the time for anyone to achieve lucidity....Hard work is definately required. But, I hope you have success soon! If you try your hardest, it will be within your reach.

As with everying in life.. Stop thinking about it and just do it. No trying, just clear your mind and let yourself dream, remember if something strange happens you are most likely dreaming.

When you do start to Lucid dream, do not think at anytime that you can do what you want as this will wake you up.

Let the dream take you somewhere and change it slightly or change the dream, if you are scared you will wake up. To change the dream is simple, stay calm and rational and take advantage of what your mind has to offer. Doing too much at once will wake you.

Best to just explore your dreams in the first couple of LD's take a look around. believe you can fly and you will fly, if you have trouble think of an birds eye view. As similaries have helped me control my LD.
