I had my first REAL DEAL lucid experience today, while napping in the middle of the afternoon. I passed out on my futon in my dorm - i havent been sleeping right for a week now, and finally just crashed out.

I had a waking dream that my friend was in the room with me. I brushed it off until I realized, my door is locked. I jumped up and ran to the doorway - the lights didnt work, there was a really dull flicker as if they had burnt out. I knew I was lucid, and as soon as I thought this to myself, the whole world got all shaky and fuzzy and i snapped out of the dream. I woke up and realized that I finally figured out how to do it, so I went back to sleep. I noted on the clock that I had been alseep for approximately 20 minutes.

When I fell back asleep, I had another waking dream, but this time I ended up in some kind of strange school. However, random people from highschool and my college were in the classrooms. I knew I was dreaming again, because of the lights. Not only couldnt i get them to work, but they were all off in the first place.

A girl I have hooked up with many times was sitting on top of her dest, and I attempted to, lets see how to put this... touch her in inappropriate ways in front of everyone. It was weird as hell, so I went running out of the room, testing the lights on my way out. I bumped into another friend in the hallway and was so scared, i started to ask him questions. "You ever have a dream where you knew you were dreaming, man? I think I'm asleep right now, i cant get any lights to work."

What he said freaked me the fuck out! He said, "Dude...your fucked up. Theres been a power surge and we lost power."

So now, in the dream, im thinking, Oh man! Im gonna get kicked outta school! I must be drunk, high, tripping, or all three to have just done what I did. I was in a really weird, high kinda euphoria in the dream. I cant remember what happened next, but I just felt horrified and was telling myself to wake up and couldnt.

Then I woke up.

This was the most bizarre experience Ive ever had. It all took place between 4 and 6pm, lying on my couch, but it felt like at least a 6 hour stint. I was so anxious to try some stuff like joyriding cars, flying, touching more women... but this scared the hell outta me!

If anything else, I can at least say I finally got lucid - at the most random unexpected time ever.

Cheers.

I also feel, right now, extremely tired, both physically and mentally. Is this normal following a lucid dream Its so weird, because i was running around and i was physically so scared... my whole body is drained...
