      questions for the experienced...

how has your lucid dreaming progressed? did you start out with just a few here and there and gradually get to having them every night? how long has it taken to get to the stage you're at now?

personally, I have always had lucid dreams now and then, but usually wake up right away. since I've been reading into lucid dreaming over the last few months, I have had them a lot more frequently and have been able to extend them a bit longer.

I think this may really depend on the person, but to generalise, I believe that lucid dreaming starts off stockily and gradually becomes more consistent. With practice and patience it's a goal you're sure to be able to accomplish. Even if it seems to be on and off now, I'm sure that will change. If it dosen't, I'm sure there are many willing to give you tips.

My adoptee, Jalexxi, had a problem where he could only maintain lucid dreams for a few seconds. The problem in his case was that he was concentrating too much. Maybe this is so with you. Show passive intrigue with your dreams and also with your HI.

Once you get the feeling for it, it's something that will most likely stay with you. You just need to feel around and get into the right setting.

      Good luck!

I started off LDing as a kid without knowing what an LD even was. All of them were DILDs. Even now, I don't have LDs every night, but a few per month. I've basically been concentrating on my recall and categorizing my dreamsigns, and practicing reality checks. I like to try a variety of things to see what works best for me. Because like CK said above, everyone's different, so it will just depend on the person.
