      Lucid Dreaming Gone Wrong

I am new here, and just wanted some help or adivse about a dream I had.

A few weeks ago, my friend told me about lucid dreaming. So I looked it up, and found a technique of questioning yourself throughout the day, "Am I dreaming?" I started doing this randomly throughout the day, asking myself "Am I dreaming?" and then automatically responding "no." Last night, I had a dream that my teeth were crooked (they used to be when I was a kid). Then I asked myself "Am I dreaming?" and responded "No." I tried to fix my teeth by pushing them back into place, but all my teeth came loose, and some of them fell out, my two front ones started peeling. I could not stop crying and went to look for my mother. Then I woke up, and immediatly checked my teeth. What most worries me is that the dream felt so real, and I really thought during the dream that it was reality. Any advice, or information would help!

yeah, dreams are as real as when you're awake. don't get in the habit of saying "no." when you ask yourself, actually stop and think about it. look around for any clues--something that seems out of place or strange, or if you can't remember how you got to where you are now. treat each time you ask yourself as if though you really don't know if you'¨re dreaming.

Don't wory - teeth falling out, or problems with teeth in general is a common dream scenario for many people (though I've never experienced it myself). Do a search for topics regarding teeth and see how many posts you come up with!

      Welcome SZ58,
When asking yourself if you are dreaming you need to do a Reality Check (for more info do a search). Dreams can appear to be as real as everyday life, you need to have a more complex test.

Also dreams about teeth falling out can be used with MILD technique. I had this type of dream for years without losing any real teeth

I've heard the tooth thing was associated with stress, i.e., grinding the teeth together in angst or worry. I've had a few dreams like this, very real, in which my teeth crumbled in my mouth and I could even feel the graininess of them. It sucked but MAN was I so glad to have teeth when I woke up
