      focused pressure...

had a strange lucidish experience this afternoon...

a little background...gave blood yesterday afternoon..didn't plan on drinking because of that, but ended up having close to twenty shots with beer

needless to say i was hurting this morning and dehydrated...had ot get up after 6 hours of sleep...by around 1pm i was ready to crash...took 200mg B6 and some calea Z 10:1 extract.

after about an hour of sleep i was in that in-between state one experiences when dead tired..it felt somewhat like sleep paralysis, but there was one difference.

i was on my right side, with my head facing the wall...as i maintained passive awareness i felt an orb of sorts (which started "facing" the same direction as my closed eyes) gradually shift inwards and downwards (towards the pillow).

i could control in what manner and direction the orb would turn, though it was "centered" in the same direction as my physical face, and automatically returned there if left to itself.

when i turned the orb inwards and downwards, i could see imagery. coincident with the downward position was a feeling of EXTREME pressure (like a million pounds pressing downwards with crushing weight), yet there was no pain.

if i aligned the orb downwards correctly i would find my dream body fully immersed in a dim lucid environment, where i was walking around looking at my hands (which were covered in indiciphable (sp) writing).

i let go of the tension a few times, and the orb would swivel back to my head's actual position, and my inner eye would go blind. when i swiveled it back by will, the imagery would fade back in, and i would find myself walking around in a dream again.

so finally i held the orb in the position of pressure and tried to read the writing on my hands and wrists. the more i concentrated the heavier the pressure got, and the more clear the dream became, until i could actually start making out words (two in particular, which i unfortunately cannot remember now)...

thought some might find that interesting.

when i faced the orb downwards, i had awareness of my physical body and its position, the orb's position, and my dream body within the dream realm.

pretty strange sensations to say the least..

This pressure without pain can be very startling, but I've never had a situation where they were coincident with actual harm. Your experience seems to confirm that.

However, I do wonder about blood. Does incident blood pressure have anything to do with these kinds of experiences? I don't know yet. Perhaps they are just psychologically connected.

I think it may be due to blood pressure.
Every now and then, if I lay still enough I feel like i'm spinning round and round (forum post elsewhere). Thing is, my heart beats very powerfully, and I can feel the blood coursing round, and each beat makes me spin faster.

Similar sort of experience, but yours was more interesting.
We grow great by dreams. All big men are dreamers. Some of us let these great dreams die, but others nourish and protect them; nurse them through bad days till they bring them to the sunshine and light which comes always to those who sincerely hope that their dreams will come true. - Woodrow Wilson
