Anyway here's a direct quote from my dream journal...

(1)L
A very short lucidity but it definitely was amazing. I was at a local amusement park (Wonderland, if anyone lives in Ontario?) And I was on the ride called the Bat. Instead of sitting on it, I was hanging on to the bottom, both for fun and dear life. This ride has two cycles, one where it goes forwards, and one back, with a pause between. Durring the pause I thought. "What would happen if I fell, wait a second, what the fuck am I doing? I have to be dreaming." As soon as I thought this the ride went into it's backwards cycle. As soon as the first loop accelerated the train, I let go and started flying. I went above the clouds and I saw a giant palace in the sky, though for some reason it was upside down. I then woke up slowly to my dismay and joy.[/b]

It was the first time I was able to accomplish flying, or hell, any kind of control. It was exhilirating, but caused me to wake up pretty quickly.

I went on the Bat before. Nearly scared the hell out of me going backward. Great ride! Great dream.

At least you didn't startle wide awake from it. Do you wake out of lucid dreams slowly all the time? Perhaps you can train yourself to hold onto the dream when you feel it starting to slip away? Wish I had a bit of a transition between dream and wake.

Actually, most of the time I just loose lucidity and fade back into the course of my normal dream. This is the first time I've been able to have some control, or atleast successful control.

And yeah, I think with some practice I could learn to focus more, and stay in the dream.

You should definitely check it out, it's entered my psyche as a re-occuring dream sign.
