Ok now I think I might have head a Lucid Dream last night but im not sure. I'll start from what I remember slightly before I suspect I started to Lucid Dream.

Now slightly before I suspect I started to Lucid Dream I was in the middle of another dream. I was in my backyard of my house when out of nowhere 2 dogs appeared in my backyard, one being a rotweiler and one being a Doberman pincer. I have no fear of dogs by the way. So anyways the dogs start to attack me and one tears a large strip of skin off of my neck and the other dog tore a ton of skin off of my arm. Then I killed the dogs and me and my cousin, who was with me in the dream went up to the porch at my house. I was about to open my door to go into my house and my cousin said to me "Look the bite marks on your arm are gone" and I said "Of course they are thats because I'm dreaming right now." Then I suppose something kicked in and
I started to realize that I knew I was dreaming and I wouldnt recover from a dog bite that easily, so taking advantage of it in my dream I shouted "yes now I can have a lucid dream" and then everything around me started becoming clearer and more in focus ( Normally my dreams are kind of fuzzy and not very clear).

So I was in my house in my sleep and I closed my eyes and said out loud "When I go into the living room bobby (my friend) will be in the room also. Sure enough when I went in bobby was in my living room. Then I became excited and said again out loud "When I open my eyes I will have a can of mountain dew" and then when I opened my eyes there was a mountain dew sitting on the table.
I clearly remember everything that is normally in my living room existing in my dream living room in full detail.

Then after I had a little fun of making things appear I started to tell my cousin about what a lucid dream is in my sleep. I told her "You know right now im having a lucid dream, its when your body is asleep but your mind is awake, its pretty cool."
I also remember my cousin being on the computer she was on AIM typing to people and I could clearly see what she was saying. I remember seeing on the screen someone sending her an insant message that said "Sure go ahead, I snatch dollars from him all the time"

Shortly after that I woke up.
Now i'm sure most of you are almost positive I had a lucid dream (or maybe not) but the thing is im not sure. I didn't really feel like I was in control because even though I made things appear the things I said to appear arent normally things I would make appear. I mean if I had full control I would have made someone like Jessica Simpson appear in my living room, not my friend bobby. But still it resembled a lucid dream so much. It could have been me dreaming about having a lucid dream, and I could of been out of control the entire time. But tell me what you think or ask me questions because I would really be happy to answer them. If I did have a lucid dream I would be really happy because I've been trying to have lucid dreams for months now and have had no luck.
PS. I dont practice lucid dreaming but I can remember my dreams every night almost perfectly, I can remember 1-4 dreams I had every night.

It's definitely a lucid dream. By definition as long as you know you're dreaming it's a lucid one.
Congratulations! But yeah, as you can tell you're thinking isn't always really clear but that could be from excitement or the fact that your concious mind is still half asleep.

Yep, definitely a lucid dream.

The definition of a lucid dream: You're dreaming, and you know you're dreaming. You don't even have to have control, or do anything special... I still don't think as clearly during LDs as I do when I'm awake--words and numbers, especially. That's because the right hemisphere of the brain is more active when you're dreaming.

So your dream is actually a pretty high level of control; you were planning and strategizing on controlling your dream, and it became much clearer for you. I didn't master making objects appear for a while after I started focusing on control in general. So you're doing good.

You've already got a real key to lucid dreaming: You have to believe that something will happen for it to come true.

Another thing you're using that took me a while to figure out: Making things happen that couldn't happen in real life often is easier if they happen "offscreen": For example, you walked into another room to create your friend, and closed your eyes to create the Mountain Dew.

The more familiar you are with something, the more experience your mind has with it, and the easier it is to create it in a dream. For example, I'd never have figured out how to shoot laser beams from my fingertips if I hadn't watched and read so much science fiction!

Thanks for the replies guys. Thats great I had a Lucid dream. Can't wait until I have another.
I tried 2 of the methods on obtaining Lucid Dreams last night (Using the brainbullet subliminal message program and I chugged a glass of chocolate milk before I went to bed) but I didn't have a lucid dream, as a matter of fact I dont remember my dreams at all. Which is strange because I always remember my dreams. Maybe it was the chocolate, or the fact I didn't go to sleep until 5:00.

Maybe i'll have some luck tonight.
Well i'm going to go. I'm gonna read some more of my chasing ghosts book then im off to bed.

Also if you've never heard of those methods I got them from the forums.

No Lucid Dreams last night either .
I think I may be done for a while on the Lucid dreams, which sucks.

My dream last night involved a zombie attack, in which I was in some odd building and I was stabbing zombies in the head with my 2 hunting knives that I keep in my room. I know the reason I had the dream about zombies was because I had watched Dawn of the Dead the night before.

Well i'm going to go. Im gonna watch Silent Hill then i'm going to sleep.

dont feel bad man. I had my first ld and thought i was going to have tons but i had to wait till yesterday to have my second (so i waited about a week) and i dont even remember it that well. keep trying and keep a dream jornal and as for brain bullet i figured out today u can make 2 things run at once! so im putting on "achieve ultimate success" and " control your dreams at night" i think they work good together ill be trying tonight ill post if it works

If you dreamed about the movie you watched try watching a movie about lucid dreaming. If you think about lucid dreaming while in a dream it might be easier to go lucid.
