Hi guys. I stumbled across this site approx 3. weeks ago and was amazed by it. Never knew this was possible at all. So i read around, became more familiar with the subject etc until i gave it a blast.

Then my first LD came naturaly..god knows how!

It started off as a normal dream, i was in my room and there was a girl, and then it suddenly occured to me in the dream that it was not possible - i had never seen her before in my entire life so i became lucid.......then everything became a blur and suddenly the location completely changed(not in my control) and i was not lucid anymore.

      My second LD -

After reading about the FILD technique on this forum i decided to give it a go.

I must have woke up at around 6am and gave it a go. It didn't work straight away so i went to sleep for 35mins and woke up again and tried again. So i was moving my fingers almost falling asleep and then all i hear is a loud sort of ringing noise in my ears and a tingling feeling.

I knew i was lucid straight away from this so i got up from my bed, looked at my room and it was just like it was before i went to sleep. So i went to the staircase and jumped down all the stairs and i landed on my feet and it didn't hurt one bit. I decided i would try to fly/hover while inside the house. I tried to hover but it wouldnt work. So i took a run down the hallway and jumped and i flew 2 metres and fell down.

So i went outside in my back garden and tried to take off again but i hovered forward for 5 metres, just 1m above the ground and fell again.

      Then i woke up..

My third LD - happend last night.

It is a college night for me, meaning i have to get up at 6.45am and this is what my alarm is set to on my phone.

I must have woken up at 5.45am. I checked the time on my phone and went back to sleep. Then i was straight into a dream. I was in a theme park of somesort and i was waiting in the queue to get on the log flume ride where i saw 2 log flumes crash into each other quite gently, but one of them defied gravity and went ape crazy and flew about 20m off the ground.

I stopped, thought to myself "how the f*** is that possible?". I did a reality check - nose pinch, and i could breath. This is where i became lucid. Then it seemed as if the dream had ended.

I woke up, did a RC(nose pinch) and i was still dreaming(false awakening). From this point on everything was really vivid. I got up, went close to a window and tried to fly but i got no luck at all. Couldn't even get off the ground.

I tried to conjure up some girls but it wouldn't work. I thought to myself that they would be behind this door or they would appear etc but nope.

Then in the real world my alarm on my phone went off and woke me up.

I can't fly!! Also i can't seem to get people to appear either which sucks too. Anyone got tips? I have read the flying guide already.

BTW, is it my or is lucid dreaming is exhausting? The last dream i had left me knackard for the whole day...

      Thanks for reading

What's up Gam3r? Welcome to Dream Views.

NICE job on the 3 LD's, so soon.

I can't really say that lucid dreaming, itself, is tiring. I wake up from many of my LD's feeling completely refreshed, but not all of them, so I think it's a mixed bag.

As far as conjuring and flying: the main thing you'll have to practice is "not trying," if that makes any sense. Usually when we think of "trying" something, we go into it with the possibility in mind that we just might fail. In dreaming, whether lucid or not, doubt is kryptonite. It's your worst enemy. What you want to do is think about what it would feel like to just "let go" and fly, or to just "know" that this or that person is going to be wherever you want to conjur them. Visualize them as if you know exactly what they'd look like, once they appear before you, or around the corner.
If you're trying to fly, look up in the air to a place you'd like to be and just sort of "attract" yourself, mentally, to that spot. Or run, look up, jump and then forget the ground even exists. Know that when you look down, you're going to see nothing but landscape hundreds of feet below you.
There are many mindtricks you can play on yourself to do what you want to do in a LD, but the main constant is that you have to trick yourself into believing it's going to work.

      Hello Oneironaut

Thanks for reading and the reply. I will try what you have written in my next LD if i can remember. Another problem is in my LD's i can't seem to remember anything from the real world...such as people. Maybe this or it doesn't occur to me to remember them.

I feel like im in a rush when in a LD as i am scared i will wake up .

Yeah, many of us still go through that. Sometimes you actually have to stop what you're doing, taking a moment to center yourself and really think about what it is you were trying to remember. It doesn't always come easy. About being scared of waking up, keep this in mind: Most of the time when I start worrying about how quickly I might wake up - I wake up. The best advice I have, regarding that, is to try not to worry about it too much. LD's don't last forever, and you'll never have enough time to accomplish everything you could possibly want to, in one. It's best to let them play out, enjoy them while you have them, and look forward to the next one.

Keep it up because there will come a time when you will have them in waves.
