      Wink

YES! Using binaural beats, I induced my first lucid dream! It lasted about 5 seconds, but it made my entire day. here's what happened. (I've only been trying for 2 or 3 weeks. pretty exciting)

My dreams were RANK with suggestions. for example, the dream I became lucid in was just me and all my friends listening to the beats in my old room. Only it was on a cd, and my old room now only has one bed, in my dream there are two, like when I was in it with my little brother. also, the little display on the radio didn't work. heh. So there's this whole non lucid bit about me and this girl I used to be interested in (I used to dream about her constantly) but when that had ended, It turned swiftly into a nightmare. I was afraid of a faster, smarter, more attractive me coming through the window and killing me. (heh, I'm thinking a message from my sibconcious) oh, btw, throughout this entire dream, I'm hearing distantly my binaural beats. So I'm really frightened, but I'm telling myself i'm not, but I eventually try and scream like they do in horror films (the girls) but it comes out as only a whisper, and that does it. I'm convinced I'm awake, but I do an RC anyway. I can breathe through my nose. Then it's like I'm lying on the floor, I rocket into a sitting position, and scream-think YES!!! but then I remember about staying calm and increasing lucidity, so I kneel and look at my hands. they look normal, but I mutate them, because everyone is alwaus saying they're supposed to look funny. "first things first" i remember thinking, and then I shoot a fireball at the window and it explodes. Then my history teacher, Eric and his son come in, but they're silhouettes. i ask him to turn the lights on, but instead of the room lights, he turns on his son (who he's carrying) so that he's illuminated from the inside out, and I can make out som details. I guess this is funny because we laugh and high five, and I wake up. Feh. XD I wish I would've stopped to calm myself and increase lucidity/vividness. Oh well. the door is just opened.

So the downside to binaural beats is it took me a whole hour to fall asleep. I think the only thing it did for me was sort of anchor me to certain places where I could reasonably be listening to it. So I was thinking of a new method. record your own track where you describe a place you never ever go in real life, frequently reminding yourself to do rcs, that way, you associate always that place with RCing. Then through the theory of Incubation, your dreams always start there and you always rapidly become lucid. I dunno. I think this would well for me. I hope to someday graduate from headphones though. awful for relaxation. Oh! another problem was I couldn't block out the constant reminders of "you are dreaming" etc. Which was annoying. YAY! :yumdumdoodledum:

P.S. I just remembered a fortune cookie I got yesterday. It read "You will achieve success" I thought "in what" BUT! Now I realize. Thank you Panda express.

Oh! Certainly. Let me link it real quick... http://www.dreamviews.com/forum/index.php?...=binaural+beats

I don't know if it's the best one. It's just a mp3 file. But! go to www.download.com if you've got a pc, and grab one of the ones there, Should work better. But this one certainly worked well for me. But don't become dependent on it, is what I suggest. Hone the skill part time, and use the song part time. That's what I'm going to do.

      Congratulaions!
I remember my first Lucid Dream, I was excited for a week or two after it

I guess if that audio enters your dream world you'll do an RC to see if you're dreaming, correct?
If it does, that sounds like a surefire way to have an LD, and did this work on your first try?

I don't want to bombard you with questions, so:
      Congratulations!

Yeah. First try. Although be wary of confidence. I found that after reading all about how it worked so well, I had that christmas eve syndrome. I was too excited to sleep plus the added discomfort of the headphones. So again - I wouldn't suggested this method for extended use, but I think it's done wonders for my confidence. It was so cool.

P.S. Yeah, the way it happened for me is the audio occupied my entire dream, which made me really feel awake the wholetime because I knew i was listening to it, but the conditions in which i was listening to it continued to change. So you still need tobe wary of dream signs, like mine was not being able to scream, but I think I was a lot more aware throughout the entire dream because of the constant reminders of "I am dreaming" "I will remember to reality check" etc. The waves were really nice to me too, because I once stayed at this beach in Monta Rico (South america) with black sand, and I slept on the beach, so it was really relaxing to mentally go back there.
