I had been partying pretty hard the night before (it was new years after all). A friend had passed out on my couch right infront of my bed where me and my girlfriend slept.

Around 9AM my friend woke up with a yell that also woke me up. He started with the usual "Where am I?" "What happened?". Since I had to lock up after he left my place I could not go back to sleep until he was out. And it took him awhile so I had to stay up for around 10 minutes until he finally stumbled out of my door.

When I got back to bed I still had the memory of my previous dream and so I tried to enter that dream directly while staying concious.

I felt a small kind of falling sensation as I was entering a dream and I heared two voices talking during that moment. One said "He's asleep now" and the other replied "No he is still awake". Then I saw a man who was around 40 years old and another voice saying "You've taken over his body!". I felt a small jerk and suddenly the dream was in first person. I could see my hands and look around me. There were kids playing on the floor (I was in a small living room of a small apartment), none of them over the age of 2.

I instantly thought I'm dreaming and decided to do a reality check. Out of no where a man appeared when I turned around and handed me a letter. I did a reality check and inspected the text on it twice and it changed. Yep, I had it confirmed, I was dreaming. I remembered from something I had read that you were supposed to be able to feel how your body was laying in bed and I tried to sense that and I got a sense that I was sleeping face down.

And as the simple man I am, the first thing that pops into my head was not attempt to fly but to have sex =) I called for my wife and a women I had never seen steped down from a high bed. You know like a bunk bed but with only one bed in the top and nothing under it. She climbed down the ladder of the bed and I noticed that she had no underwear on. Yummy, I thought

Anyway, we started to get it on but suddenly I realized her body was not looking correct. Her hips were too small for the rest of her body. I got upset and tried to fix her by re-making her. Perhaps I should not have done that, for suddenly I woke up.

I was a little dissapointed but not much, I had after all finally had a LD!

Whats funny is that the previous time I had gone to bed a little drunk, I also ended up having very vivid dreams towards the morning. Perhaps alcohol helps? lol

Also, it was a little weird that I was not myself. Is that common? And could it mean that perhaps it was not a pure LD?

Shoot for the moon, even if you miss it you will land among the stars.

Your experience definitely sounds like a whole-hearted LD to me! And you had good control, too. Well done!

You're lucky, because alcohol inhibits dreaming and recall for most people. Maybe you just "got lucky", like you did in your dream.

Really? Is alcohol supposed to make it harder to LD? Perhaps its just cause of the training to LD that my dreams has started to become clearer.

Yeah, usually alcohol inhibits dream recall, and the awareness to achieve LDs. But everyone's different so it's obviously not a stead-fast rule.
