"Do, or do not. There is no try." ~Yoda
I just figured out my dreamsign yesterday, actually. I'm surprised I didn't see it before now- little girls. Like 5 years old or something. In a good percentage of my dreams I either: a) am a little girl; b) rescuing a little girl; c) just talking to a little girl. |
|
what if your dreamsign isnt somthing that commonly occurs in waking life? |

lol cuz all my dreamsigns are usually wierd, strange things that I dont see in everyday situations... so I dont know how im supposed to prepare for looking for things like that in a dream. |

be more observant while awake, not much to it really. get good enough, and the weird and strange won't fool you anymore. |
|
the things that seem the most abstract in dreams dont seem abnormal though... so i guess your right, but how do you become more observant? |

lots of practice for one. having the right mind set helps also. it is natural for me, been this way my whole life. just pay close attention to the world around you, and your enviroment. its not that easy to explain, it just somthing you have to learn with practice really. |

A great question I'm still searching for my dreamsigns too. |
|
yeah I have a dream journal... i usually get 2-3 dreams a night, the only problem is I cant recognize what my reccurent dream signs are. I even categorize the dreamsigns I get at the end of each dream and nothing seems to happen more then once... usually. |

Good question - how to become more aware? |

When I say 'I see!' - I've opened not my eyes, but my mouth.
Could of been. But I didn't realise I was dreaming - he was just some guy I met in a bar! |

How about focusing on a one time thing that's already happened in your waking life, before sleeping? |

The best dream sign that everybody has is the jumping-abnormally-high/flying dreamsign. Works everytime but it unfortunately doesn't occur much, like once a week/two weeks. The unwillingness of dying while falling forces me to realize that I'm dreaming ! |

Man I know exactly what you mean about not being observant enough. That is the exact problem that I'm having. It's like nothing is out of the ordinary when it clearly is, and I'm just along for the ride. In last nights dream, I was watching TV and some people were unloading luggage off of this ship in some show. Next thing I know, I'm helping them cary the luggage off the ship lol. I didn't even realize that I just went from sitting in a room watching TV, to walking off of a ship on some tropical island. |
