My Teacher Said It Was Lucid But I'd Like More Opinions

I have been attemtping WILD for about a week or so now, and I've been keeping detailed reports for my teacher, Sythix.

I've been testing some stuff out for him, so I did what he told me to do until I decided that it was time to find a door into a dream. I was in my neighborhood and decided to enter a random house, since I didn't know what was on the other side my mind would create whatever was there. So I reached down for the door handle opened it up and went inside. While outside it had been night inside it was brilliant morning. (upon later inspection of the sun through a window it was in the astronomically correct place to have been morning, I had entered the house from the east and the sun was pouring through a window that faced the door on the staircase.) I was standing in an entry hall, with a pleasant blue paint job, the floor was brown tile and when I walked I could hear my footsteps. I walked forward a ways until I came to the backdoor that looked out over the backyard, it was a kind of sunny tropical themed landscaping with a small in ground pool. I turned left and there was a kitchen, illuminated by flourescent lights fixtures. I turned left again until I was facing the entry hall and the door through which I had entered, beside the entry hall there was a staircase that wound back on itself with a large window at the turn. (odd, because the house I had entered had been one story.) I went up and turned the sun glared and it was pretty realistic visual effect. I went up to the little loft and saw a "C" shaped hallway with three doors that led into small bedrooms, I looked in the first (can't remember exactly what was in there but nothing of interest) I then looked in the second and saw a bunk bed with blue covers on it. perpendicular to a wall with a window. Feeling a little bored by this(I was expecting a dream to be more exciting, or at least have people in it) I sat down on the edge of the lower bunk and waited for the dream to start (this whole time I still had this nagging sense of my physical body back in my real bed. I hadn't had perfect SP when I started so I was convinced that this was still visualization even though I wasn't creating it, so it had to be a dream)

This is more or less what I described to Sythix and he believes that I WILDed. I guess I did, but I didn't feel like I could do anything special. What do you think? It's cool if I was lucid but I was expecting more of a euphoric victorious feeling. I don't really feel like I accomplished anything.

If you knew you were dreaming, it was lucid.

Don't get too caught up in other peoples' reactions to having lucid dreams. Reactions/feelings are circumstantial. Feeling aware that you are awake, in the day time, can be either lame or exciting, depending on the situation you are in, as can being aware, in a dream.

If I became lucid and didn't do anything but stroll and wait for something to happen, I'd be pretty disappointed, too. Sometimes you have to create your own excitement.

I always thought though that the dream would just carry me along with it. That's how all my non-lucids were. I just figured a lucid would allow me to control what I do in the flow of stuff.

After I told Sythix about it he suggested doing stuff. like making random stuff. One of the thing I'm interested in doing is getting some dream characters, so far my environments have been abandoned. I've got this funny idea of leaving candy out for them. use choclate to attract them.

You've probably heard of this but a good way to make DC's appear is to "know" that they are behind a door, and when you open it, VOILA!

And yeah sounds like a Lucid Dream to me.

There are different levels of lucid dreams. Some are almost the same as ND's except you know it's a dream. Others you have your conscious with you more and you do things that you wanted to. (Fly, Super powers, etc)
High lucid dreams are supposed to be amazing. I've only experienced what I would deem middle level to upper middle level dreams. I'm still waiting for the lucid dream that makes reality look bland.

lol, if it were possible, I'd let you have mine. I recently had my first LD, as well, and the dream characters were pretty boring fellows. Whenever I'd ask them a question, they'd respond with a one word answer, or just ignore me.

Point is - don't expect too much of anything from your first L.D.'s. I'm fairly disappointed that I can't fly (yet&#33

, but I'm happy that I'm at least making some progress. Even if I only get one LD a year for the rest of my life, that's still quite a few (provided I don't die young... and who knows, maybe the afterlife is just one big L.D.).

I have a vague suspision that this thread is only being kept alive to stay near the "NO MORE!" post... You know, for dramatic impact.
