      Post

Hello everybody, I though I'd share my first lucid dream with y'all. I've been trying for close to a week, and finally did it with a DILD/WBTB method. This was Friday morning/early afternoon. (I slept in)

I was walking down a boarded walkway with water to my right, with my neighbor and a friend of his. We were discussing pants, specifically military BDU pants and their merits, as in relation to canoing. (My neighbor runs an outdoor adventure...outfitting business, I guess it would be called.) Ahead, the path turned off to the right, out over the water like a dock/pier. We turned, taking that direction.

Then ahead and to the left I saw my older brother talking to someone, and past him and a bit to the right was my older sister and her daughter, standing by themselves. I started running in my sister's direction, and as I drew closer, the dock became part of what seemed to be a huge indoor shopping mall. I kept going past my sister, and came to a big, wide staircase leading down to another level, to my left. Turning, I looked up and ahead, and saw my other sister floating, or somehow suspended in midair, close to the far wall, above the staircase about 10-15 feet above the level I was currently on.

It was still a really large, open mall-like area, so I, in typical dream fashion, just jumped up and toward my floating sister. As I got about 5-10 feet up, everything just sort of went into slow motion, then paused completely.
At this moment, it hit me. I thought to myself, "Wait a second. I've gotta be dreaming..." And so I became lucid.

Of course, already being in mid-air, I decided to continue flying to my sister, so as everything went back through slow-mo to normal time, I set myself in the air, similar to the flying style seen in the Peter Pan movie, and dove forward toward my sister. Being lucid, I knew at this point that all the DCs were basically just props, so I thought to have a bit of fun. I hooked my left arm around her neck and dropped swiftly downward, pulling her down. Before we hit the ground, I let go, turned, swooped smoothly up, spotted my brother talking a bit away, to my right and ahead of me, and flew in his direction, gesturing with my right hand at him as I flew by.

I had intended to set him afire originally, but halfway through the gesture I changed my mind and instead set the intention of sending him flying across the mall telekinetically. I'm not 100% sure if it worked or not, I saw a small (1 1/2 feet long by 8 inches in diameter) plastic/glass canister, similar to what you'd see at a bank drive-thru that was sitting on the railing beside him, go flying instead, and bounce off the far wall. Very cool nonetheless.

I continued flying straight ahead without pausing, to my other sister who was in a section of the mall with some sort of grate-like ceiling over her head, with a trap-door sized cutout in it, which I grabbed the edges of and began to pull my self through. That's when I began to wake up. I'm not sure if I got in or not. It was really weird, because I could feel my arms moving against the covers of my bed as I woke up, still following the commands I'd given them in my dream.

So there it is, my first lucid dream. The whole dream (from becoming lucid, the rest was a continuation of a series I'd had that morning) was probably only 15-30 seconds long. I'm not really sure how lucid I was, as I never did a RC at all, or anything. It felt a tad fuzzy, but still extremely fun. But the way I woke up from it was completely different from waking up from a normal dream. It was almost like only my body had to awake, as my mind was already conscious. If that makes any sense.

Anywho, thanks for reading, and any comments are more than welcome!

awesome. That is an incredible 1st lucid dream. It looks like you have potential. I haven't done telekinetic stuff yet, I have yet to become so involved in my dreamworld. but yeah, I also recognize almost all my lucid dreams through some sort of flying or floating, or jumping ridiculously high. Anyway it sounds really fun, maybe you are superman with telekinetic powers, ...

Crazy dream man and congrats on your first. Thats one hell of a first ld and you should be proud, mine was only 5-10 seconds and hazy as shit. Your amount of control for a first ld was great as well, again congrats.

Thanks! Sorry I've taken so long to reply, I visit several other forums, and don't have as much time as I'd like. Superman with telekinesis... sounds like fun. I haven't had another yet, but when I do, I hope to do much, much more.

Thank you! I am glad I had a good deal of control, just wish I'd remembered all the techniques I've read for lengthening LDs at the time.

I appreciate the comments, guys. My mom picked up Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming at the library the other day, so I've been reading that fervently, and hope I'll have another soon. Maybe a successful WILD this time. :yumdumdoodledum:
