It's amazing what the mind is capable of. I'm lucky enough to have at least one lucid dream almost every night and each night it's equally amazing. Last night I suddenly became lucid during a rather boring dream. I started spinning, but instead of picking a place to go, I said: "Surprise me." Where I ended up was somewhere I could see the most gorgeous sunset I have ever seen. I just stood there for a long time admiring it, it was truly the most beautiful sight I have ever seen and as real as all my lucid dreams. (I don't have the blurred ones other people mention.) After what seemed like a very long time, I decided to meet an old friend of mine, so I spinned to a place where I imagined he would be, but when I opened my eyes after spinning, I opened them IRL. :( But the sunset makes up for it, it was just amazing, perhaps I will choose to see it again tonight if I become lucid. But I have been thinking about buying a motorbike for a while, so reading the OPs story kinda makes me want to try that too. :) So much to dream about, so little time. :)

I pity the people who never have lucid dreams, I really do. It's like nothing else here in life. It's like the best movie you've ever seen, but much better and you're in it. It's like everything you've ever felt, but much more powerful. It's like anything you've ever imagined, but as real as anything you've ever experienced.

Lucid dreaming should be taught in all schools; the best things in life truly are free.
