The problem is, as Anchorman clearly says. "Milk was a bad choice" One of my favourite movie lines. As long as your drinking back the milk, your gonna be having shitty nonlucid dreams. I guarentee it. But i also dont really understand what you mean either.

You can do reality checks as any character. I did a reality check as Jimmy Neutron on saturday.

Also, since appearing as other characters seems to be a reoccuring theme for you, consider this a dream sign. Every time you're not you, you know you are dreaming. BAM! Lucidity! A good reality check for you would be looking in a mirror, to make sure you are you.

Hehe, just like many of my Zelda dreams. Where the screen takes up my entire view, and everything is in third person ('cause there's no such thing as a first person Zelda&#33. I've yet to attain lucidity while third person, so I can't really help you there.
