      Question

Hi everyone, I just had my second LD a few days ago... I have been on and off the site for some time and reading about LDs but my sleeping patterns are so f*ed up that I was hardly having any dreams before last week (when I decided to start sleeping regularly). Anyways, I had a really short but extremely vivid LD that started from a False Awakening. The strange thing was that I was an animal (dont know what type exactly). The most strange thing was that I could not feel my human self at all, and was feeling a complete emotional emptiness and adrenaline rush just like I can imagine now an animal might feel. It was also night and I was seeing colours a bit differently and I could see wider (ie in a larger angle than we usually see).

I got a bit freaked out from this dream (by the way I didnt do anything in it - I just walked for 10 meters or so and then looked at the sky, jumped and woke up) but it brought back my feeling to try more LDs. Any pointers on where to start?

Has anyone had a dream where they are an animal (not only in form but also in mind)?

PS: excuse my english - not my native language

That sounds really cool. I wish I would have a dream like that.

Yeah, I have no control over my LDs yet (just had 2) but it was amazing... do try it if you can.

I never had any problems shooting fireballs or frostbolts in my lucid dreams, like other people have, I can just make them come out of my hands, and I think this is because I've played games like Oblivion, where casting those spells are as easy as pressing a button.

So why do I mention this here? Because some games let you play an animal, I'm thinking like Far Cry Instincts Predator or perhaps even an Alien in the Alien vs. Predator games. They have a very wide field of vision and see in special colors, while they also move really fast and can run on walls and ceilings.

So, just a suggestion, if you really want to dream you're an animal, play a game as an animal for a few hours before going to bed, it might make it easier to get into the role when you become lucid. :)

haha, thanks about that... there was a time (when I lived in the Netherlands) that I would speak English all day with my foreign friends, and even dream in English... well, now I've been back home for a while and I'm losing my touch with the english language (I still dream half greek half english though). Hope that makes sense...
