Hi all.

Ok, I'll get right into it. I attempted WBTB, but I didn't wake up to my 'bidibibip' alarm clock, and I slept through until 5:00 in the morning (which is pretty strange, considering I went to bed at 1:00. I Only read a comic book) so I did the usual thing to do in a WBTB, then I got back to sleep. I then woke up at 6:00, not remembering anything, then went to sleep, 8:00 I woke up, didn't remember anything. Here's the odd part of the 'story'. Just as I was about to go back to sleep again (I usually sleep 9 hours or more which is why I went back to sleep) for some reason, my mind put something in my head. It wasn't a dream, it was merely a thought in the shape of a dream. I was in a 'thought dream' and I counted my fingers. I had 6 on a hand. I knew it wasn't a dream because I could still see whatever it is you see when you have your eyes closed before you sleep. It was a thought in my head that I didn't create. Anyway, after I counted I had 6 fingers, I said 'hey, this is a dream', and I was 'lucid'. I just stood there and continued counting my fingers, then the thought sort of faded away. I had little or no control over the thought. I just wanted to know why I seemed to be lucid in a thought. that's what I want to ask you guys. Was it merely a thought or was I actually lucid in my thoughts? (which I think we all are, but this thought wasn't created by me, and my mind seemed to do a RC on it's own and I went from there). I hope to get some answers soon!

      cheers,

It sounds like you were doing something similiar to day dreaming.

I've had it happen to me, you're lying in bed, not quite asleep, your thoughts begin to wander, you know it's not a dream but you know that you're not awake. Did you see any imagery? and if so, how vivid was it? When this happens to me the imagery is but a mere outline against a dark fuzz, difficult to percieve any detail within the images.
