Thread: Anyone Ever Flown Like This?

Hehehe that's a creative method.

I'm trying to think... but I think all I've done is flap my arms. If I'm adventurous I'll grow wings. I've also used the zooming method, but that wasn't exactly flying... more like getting places really fast.

Jumped from a high building and just flew.

Neo - Matrix - stlyle flying

Super Man style flying

Flying with wings (A really cool non-lucid dream where i was this angel)

Flying as though im swimming

A kind of "Spirit Away" type fly where im like 1 foot above the ground only and going really fast.

Flying in space and going into a kind of hyperspace speed to get to the moon - aka "zooming method"

and this doesnt really count but i once wanted to jump to the top of a sky scraper so what i did was get into a "croutching tiger" stance gathered energy below me and shot up really fast.

However, i still suck at flying.

Growing wings and flying? Wow never thought of that one.

The ones I do the most are Neo/Super Man/DBZ type flying. I'll have to try some of the ones you guys do.

Sometimes I just run through the air. But I do remember something like you are talking about, it just won't come to me.

Well i cant really give much advise with that, many of my flying dreams are non-lucid or just the odd Lucid where i feel like i have infinite power.

So if your like me, then growing wings may take some time!

lol, when i fly, i take an F-16.

I grow wings out of my shoulder blades, or my arms turn into wings. I've also flown on a broomstick like a witch lol that was fun. There was also a magic carpet like in Alladin. I usually spend most of my dream time flying. It's so much fun!

I just fly Neo from the Matrix style. It's pimp.

You take an F-16? And I saw someone else put run through the air. Dang I have some new things to try I guess. I have never ridden in an Aircraft before in a dream nor have I grown wings, or run through the air. Although I did swim through the air once.

I, although have had few lucid dreams, have actually sprouted small, feathery wings and flew. I also gained power over wind and made a gong sound by blowing on it.... In the same dream!!!

I have an invisible broomstick which I fly harry potter style.

Most common way for me to fly is to "run" in the air upwards, other than that ive done "swim flying" and high jumping

Has anyone ever breathed underwater?! I have, and I'm wondering if that's normal, or if there's no definition of normal when it comes to LDing.
BTW, this whole lucid dreaming thing is absolutely amazingly cool . . . I thought I was the only one who had LD's!

in the first nightmare i can remember having i breathed underwater. i was deathly afraid of sharks as a small child. o_O

I once used a method (normal-dream), where I first stood on one leg, and then jumped like 1 centimeter into the air, whereafter I lifted my last leg up. That way, I could somewhat float.

The other night I dreampt I was breathing underwater, sure anything is normal in LD's. Though my life may have influenced it since I used to SCUBA dive for a while, but eh, in my opinion its a good feeling.

Yes breathing underwater is quite odd, because you kind of are holding your breathe but then realize that you are breathing underwater and it is a big relief and gives you some kind of euphoric feeling.

Although it sounds like a strange method, it is very believable that this would work for you- Why?


Because while in your dream, you may have trouble flying because your subconscious/conscious mind has a hard time truely accepting it's possible because you've always known that it isn't.

And with almost all techniques, they simply do something that encourages the psyche to accept and believe that it just might be possible.

By seeing a DC do this and it made him fly, it helped you accept on a "deeper" level that it is possible and walah, you had confidence and did it.

I was talking with the foreign exchange student staying me about flying the other day and he mentioned a dream he just had where he had to move a rubberband back and forth really fast between his fingers and then he'd be launched into the air and he could fly around. o_0 Odd.

When I was younger, I'd either bicycle peddle to fly, or do that scrunch-hover thing that Peach does in Super Mario Bros. 2. xD

Now that I'm older, and lucid, I either Neo-fly, triple-jump fly (again with the Mario reference!), or grow wings (though last time I did this, I could only see their shadow). In some instances, I've had to flap a couple times to gain flight.

I just jumped in the air and found that I was just sort of half vertical/half horizontal moving through the air... very uniteresting, but I found it most natural.

My favorite is to get gigantic fluffy angel wings. The surprising part is, I feel muscles that I don't currently have working the wings as I fly.

Hopping on flying clouds is also a fun way to get around.

i didnt had any lucid dreams yet, at least i cant remember! but one day... i should be around 6 or 7 years old, i dreamt i was flying in a goku style, from dragon ball z! :p but anyways it was weird cause i needed to fly colse to the ground, and i couldnt lift anymore, lol, i tried but i couldnt make it! so i needed to fly very low... almost touching the ground, kinda like a hoverboard :p but i was flying pretty fast thou!... so, it was fun... dont know if this dream was a lucid one, cause i tried to lift up at some time... i think it was kinda lucid, what do you guys/gals think? i cant remember very well cause it has been like 10 years since i got that dream, im 18 now...

My flying is more like a succession of really big jumps, one after the other. Kinda like spiderman but without the web slinging.
