      Bombed with Lucid Dreams

I never thought I would say this, but I wish I didn't have those lucid dreams that I recently woke up from.

As stated in another post (Here) I found that taking a nap gives me the most vivid, weirdest, and most easily remembered dreams. And just yesterday I stated that I should find a technique along with taking a nap to induce a lucid dream. Well, I succeeded-

I used something similar to the WBTB method. As a daily ritual, I get up early so my mom can drive me to the barn to tend to "Yogi", my steer. On the way back home I read a book about Lucid dreaming. When I actually got home, I took a nap right away.

In all the lucid dreams I've had, my dream self awakens from a bed. These were no different. Upon waking up (in the dream), one of my windows is highlighted with this purple goo that reappears then disappears. "Yup, It's a dream". I kind of fight with myself, which feels like I'm trying to wake up, to obtain a more "clear" LD. I succeed and immediately get out of bed with the thought "I'm going to turn into a horse, then meet my favorite singer! Hope I have enough time". It's a bit sketchy, but I go outside and almost get run over by a car! It scares me right out of being lucid. A few more things happen. Then I wake up into my bed again.

False awakening- I know when this happens it ends up being bad. My room door is open and the TV downstairs is on very, very loud (my room door is always closed and the TV is not on unless someone is watching it). I think that I have a visitor, and once again I'm lucid. This time if feels like I've been forced into it. The purple goo in my window disappears and reappears multiple times this time. I walk up to the window, but I disappears for good. I then hear someone load a gun outside my window door. I peak out my window (I'm upstairs) and see a guy with long hair and tattooed up walk to the front door. I freak and say something to myself like "He's going to kill me- Now he's really gonna kill me now that I thought of it!" I grab both my dogs, but one falls out my arms. I tell him to come on and run to the back door. I hear the guy bust the door then loose control of my dream self. I close the backdoor in my other dog's face accidentally. He’s barking and freaking out, so I run to get him. By the time I go back to get him the guy is at the door, peering through it at me. I run to the back of the yard without my other dog (I feel bad, but the other was still in my arm) and go out that way. I then wake up.

Guess what, another false awakening although this one seems delayed and like a completely different dream- this time I really believe I've just woken up in my bed in real life. I guess I woke up with control. I sit up, both my dogs sleeping in my bed and safe. The door is closed. But I look at the window and guess what- disappearing purple goo. Almost as soon as I look at it, someone opens my bed room door. This creature or whatever was not the man with the gun. It seemed like it had a pitch black face, very tall though human like, and black hair. I didn't look at it completely, only from the side of my eyes. I point at it and scream "Wake up. Wake up!". It tries to open the door, but it seems like my pointing and screaming is overpowering it (very weird). I then wake up.

I sit up and look at my hand. When I'm lucid, I often check to make sure it is a dream and not real life by looking at my hand. If I cannot see it right in front of my face, it's a dream. But fortunately I can see my hand. There is no purple goo and the window, no man with a gun, and no devil-creature-thing at my door.

Sorry I've written so much! I felt it necessary to post... What I find weird is that I always have lucid dreams after my dream self wakes up from a bed and I that I've gotten lucid this many times after trying a new technique. Any comments, explanations, advice (or help)?

Hmmmm that sounds quite interesting I rarely wake to a lucid dream in my house I am usually in a neighborhood, a mall, etc. But that is quite an odd experience so many false awakenings and reoccuring themes.

Tempo, like you, almost all my WILDs start in the room I'm sleeping in.

That was one scary dream.. I totally felt your fear and the fear you felt for your dog when you shut the door in his face and had to leave him.

I truly hate dreams like that because they tend to stick with me for awhile after I wake up!

Please don't apologize for writing "too much".. I really enjoyed reading it!

I've had dreams like that too, never lucid though. They always do seem to be the most vivid and memorable ones. Granted, I've never had any color goo or false awakenings, but they really are nightmares and like Clarity said, they stick with you the longest.

It's only been a day and I feel it's going to stick with me for some time. It's not the worst I've had though. When I was around five I experienced a nightmare that no other dream I have had compares to. Someone broke into my house (I think my some part of my brain likes to pick on me with the guns and the breaking into houses... It’s one of my biggest fears) and kidnapped me. I still remember that one vividly and I'm 16! I think I will get over this one sooner than that nightmare I had when I was young.

And now that I think about it and look back on it, I should have done something about it. I was lucid, aware I was dreaming, and I know I could have done something about what was happening even though I was scared out of my head. I could have confronted the man with the gun like I did the dark creature instead of run away- fear is probably what made me loose lucidity.

And thanks for the replies, I appreciate them!
