Changing Dreams via lucid dreaming - controlling dreams

I've had lucid dreaming before but didn't know what it was an official term. My dream cue is walking/running up stairs; not sure why, but I do lots of running in real life. Anyways, when I knew I was dreaming of vampires in a town/house, and running away from them or after having bit by them, I know I was dreaming in which - IN THE DREAM I CLOSE MY EYES - and then 'wish' for another dream in which by the time I OPEN MY EYES IN MY DREAM, I was in another dream in which my wish came true.

My wish was to be at home doing anything, and I was there right after. At another time, I was able to do that twice.. so I believe it is possible to change dreams more than once. I dream rarely because I lack sleep so much but I used to dream more when I was on a more steady sleeping routine.

My current position is a sleep tech 'polysymnographist'.

This happened to me last night. I was in a mall then i realised i was dreaming so i closed my dream eyes and said to my self, :"When i open my eyes, I will be at home" and sure enough when i opened my eyes i was there but then i got too excited because it was my first time being lucid and i woke up

Yes, while it does work sometimes, it could also wake you up. Which is not something you want. So you should instead try other methods like spinning and thinking of a new dream scene or using doors and expect a new dreme scene. They are much more reliable than closing your eyes.
      Lucid Goals:

I have done this countless times and never woke up. Sometimes I do stay where I was though but when that happens I can usually just walk forward a few steps and be somewhere else completely
I accept that my reality is always a dream so if something changes I know I'm right.

I had this one Lucid one time where it felt like I kept closing my Eyes then I would go back into the Dream, the Closing of the eyes was involuntary so I'm assuming I was repeatedly exiting the dream, but never quite waking up then going back, it happens alot near the end of my dream, which is sometimes something I can use as a dream sign.
