      seeing dream objects after waking.

I once dreamed I was shopping in a store at night. The lights were dimmly lit and there wasn't many people there. Anyways I didn't realize the dream sign (shopping in a dark store) And continued shopping I went to the frozen section and felt cool and started grabbing meats. After that I went looking for the bread and got lost and ended up waking up. There was an empty self in my room and when I woke up It had can goods and bags of groceries on it. Note it was 4 am when this happened. Ain't no way my mom shopped that early thus it being in my room. But then something started happening. Starting from the top they started going transparant then it vanished before my eyes! The selfe was empty once again. heh That was weird.
      Here's another experience.

I dreamed of travling throgh time with Back to the future then when I entered the warp. It warpped me right back into reality in my bed. (I woke up) :-) Anyways when my eyes opened to my surprise a small clock with roman numbers and two bells at the top was sitting on tooop on the TV witch I always have on. I stared at the clock and watched it disappear in a weird way. First all of the clock cept the numbers vanish. Leaving the floating numbers that soon faded away. heheh weird eh.

      Ever happen to you?

I once woke up from a nightmare and saw this stereotype witch face at the other side of the room, which then made a loud noise that scared the hell out of me. And then it was gone. But I think that was a very short False Awakening before I actually woke up.

I once woke up and saw my dad standing in the doorway. I said, "Dad?" and heard my actual dad shout at me from his bedroom, "Go to sleep!!" I think the figure in the doorway vanished then, at least I hope.

      Hey there,

Its possible to see and hear dream things during awakening. When the body and mind are in a state that's not quite fully awake yet, yet not quite fully dreaming either. The same thing happens when going to sleep: we call these things hypnagogic images (or sounds).

For some people, or under some conditions, these things can become so strong that they seem real. Especially if the body is still under effects of sleep paralysis (for instance by an abrupt awakening).

I think I recall reading a thread about this... it's like hypnogogia except it happens while you're transitioning out of the dream state instead of in to it. It's called hypnopompia.
