      Strange WILD

I experienced a strange transition to dreaming the other night. It was not typical of how I normally manage to pull off WILDS.

I was lying on my back in bed in the early morning hours doing a combination of reverse blinking and counting breaths to fall back asleep while maintaining consciousness. As I started to fall asleep, I was trying to watch the images that were darting through my head.

I must have dozed off or got distracted, because I lost some time. Next thing I knew, I had the hallucination that I was on my side looking into a kitchen. I was still thinking logically, and felt fully awake. I thought to myself, "This is not my kitchen, its all covered in green tile. And there's no way I could be seeing it from my bed. I should be looking at my bathroom. Cool, I must be dreaming."

Now, I felt as though I was looking into a picture of this Kitchen. Like it was a still photograph, or on a monitor or a television. I could still feel my body lying on my back in bed, and could also feel my dream body lying on my side in bed. It was very disorienting, and I knew I was losing the dream.

I started to really examine the scene. I 'zoomed' my vision in to see the tiniest details. I tried to fix the position of every object exactly where it was, and not let it move as I looked around the image of the scene. I was waiting to feel more stable before I moved or got out of bed. Everything still looked like a painting or a photograph.

Suddenly, I was surprised by a 5 year old Mexican girl who walked out from around a corner in the photograph. She slowly walked to my bedside, put a hand on my shoulder, and said "Daddy". I stood up and was standing in the middle of the kitchen, alone and fully lucid.

Hahahahhahahah that's is a hell of a funny experience xD

Yeah, for what most people seem to say, a WILD is never like the other. But it's great you managed to get into the dream though congrats

I think that, before you actually enter the full 3d scenario, you first create very basic things, such as objects in a dream. Once it's stabilised, you get thrown in without even noticing it heh

lol makes me feel like WILDing more and more

This happens to me everytime I fall back asleep in the morning when I can sleep in. I haven't been able to describe it, but you did so very well. It's strange to "dream" that way, but it can be really hard to make it a proper dream!

Yeah, it felt a lot like a VILD type transition without having to previsualize the scene. Like the scene was already given to me, and I was already dreaming it. Our brains are so friggin weird. Just when I think I have things figured out, my mind pulls some new trick on me.
