Talking I just remembered... I did WILDs from the age of 8!

This memory seems to have been triggered from a thread I replied in, and the fact that I just slept for 12 hours and I feel very awake.

When I was 8, I got a new best friend. I told her about my lucid dreams, and she said that she has them, too. This, I have remembered for a long time, but I had forgotten about how we WILDed together. At almost every weekend, we stayed over at each others' places, and especially when I was at her place (big house) we used to get up at 7-8 in the morning, watch cartoons for a bit (maybe an hour or so? Don't remember) and we would then go back to bed, for the purpose of having lucid dreams. My WILD technique was simply to fall asleep, and I would enter a dream, but I did lose consciousness in between. Once we were both awake again, we would tell each other what we dreamt. I do remember dreaming of My Little Pony a few times, and horses. It must have been so natural to me that I just forgot...

I also did this when I was a bit older, and stayed at my new best friend's place, at junior high school. She wasn't as interested, and I don't think she had lucid dreams, but we did the same thing, got up early and watched TV, then went back to bed, and I had some cool lucid dreams on purpose. I dreamt of her a few times, and she tended to get killed in them. So everytime I told her "hey, I had a dream about you last night!" she would reply with "great, how did I die this time?"

I had to share. It was just too awesome to have these memories coming back to me.

Too cool. It must have been great to have somebody to practice lucid dreaming with as a kid!

It was! It might have made a difference to my lucid dreaming "abilities" that I have now?

And, of course, I only recently learned about the term "WILD". And they still scare me, but they didn't back then. Weird...

Same here, I had been doing WILDs and DILDs for years and years before I knew what the word lucid even meant.

Ah, you're all so lucky. I remember a while ago I told my friend about lucid dreams and he thought I was nuts, now whenever I mention them to him he goes "You're sketchy, kid."

LOL!! Tho if I were your friend.. I don't think I'd want you to share such dreams with me.

That's pretty cool to realize that you were "natural" lucid dreamer and just simply forgot that you were.

LOL, but it didn't happen all the time.

Also, I do remember being a lucid dreamer even before that, I remember lucid nightmares from back when I was around 3-4 years old. I just didn't remember the WILDs with my friends.
