Youssarian's First LD Since Coming Here.

Actually, it's the second that I remember, but the first was a year ago and not quite appropraite for this board...

      Lucid Dream #1, last night:

Darkness. The world is completely black, as though I was looking at my eyelids. Something makes me think, "I'm dreaming." My arms and legs grow heavy as though by SP. In order to maintain the dream and maybe make it more detailed, I begin to spin.

Two things happen. The first, some buildings, what appear to be houses, appear in the distance, silhouetted with pitch black. The other is, a large eyeball, with stipes running around it in rings from the iris to the back and multicolored, appears. This visual is something that's irritated me for years, and in my youth it would scare me. I ward it off by imagining that the organ is morphing into a rod that is striped. This alteration makes it go away completely.

Then the dream, what felt to be just a minute, ends. Not a majorly exciting dream but a great milestone. As a fellow member of this board once said, "I can't wait to pop the thought... this makes no sense! I must be dreaming!"

Good job, Youssarian! Now let's hope that you're on a roll! Have you been practicing any particular technique?

Uh... sort of. I'd like to do a WILD, but that's been getting me absolutely nowhere. Before that, I attempted MILD for a while. I like the idea of WILD because it's more immediate.
