      New LD: ridiculously long.

My new lucid dream last night lasted for what seemed like an hour. It was only my second one... It happened exactly a week after my first LD. Both of them worked the same way. I woke up late at night, attempted an FILD, failed, then had a DILD. It didn't really make any sense. But I guess that's not a bad thing. I have been two for two using this method.

It was a nice dream where I flew at mach1 over sandy beaches and mountain tops. I also got a good start on a rainforest expedition.

      That's very cool. Good job!

I don't think it is too unusual to try a WILD (unsuccessfully) and end up having a lucid dream later on. Because you have had lucid dreaming right on your mind as you go to sleep helps your dream self to pick up on the fact that you are dreaming.

I'm glad this has worked for you!

That's great to have such a long dream! And flying!

My WILD attempts have more often resulted in a DILD than a real WILD, so even if you fail at the WILD it's not a waste of time.

      Thanks, glad people can relate.

By the way I didn't attempt a WILD, I attempted a FIID (Finger induced)

FILD is a type of WILD.
