in real life i am a good touchtyper and i dont usually have bad mistakes, in the dream i sat at the computer, looked at the screen and tried to type in a url into internet explorer, but what happened was that i kept making mistakes, but the words i wanted were still there, just like
instead of http://google.com/
it would be htp:giigle.com/ [/b]
I have had the exact same experience.

I was using a search engine to locate a friend of mine. Unfortunately, everytime I typed his name I got something completely different from what I wanted. I did it several times. The final time I got close so I decided to hit enter anyway and see if the engine would bring up anything useful. It scrolled through a list of names and I can remember a few of them. Mostly just those ridiculous 'leet-speak' names with the '3's for 'E's and '7's for 'L's. Quite aggravating, actually. I was surprised at it since most folks claim it's impossible to read in your sleep.

I think you can read so long as you are reading something that your brain wants you to know, such as signs and such. Mayhap you really cannot decipher the words so much as your brain tells you what the words are in advance. I'm not sure, though, considering the above dream I had. It seemed as though I was reading them.

Perhaps some people have a more active left brain during REM sleep?
