Not absolute control over my Lucid

It's been a good first week. First day nothing, second day Wild, third day nothing, fourth day MILD (at least I think it was. I woke up, went to the bathroom, had LDs on in my head and started dreaming). Fifth day nothing. Maybe I can only get LDs on even days

The dream started off in my house, and there was a party going on but with all older adults as opposed to young adults like myself. My Dad was there in the dining area, and he was annoyed at me for some reason, but what he said made no sense at all. And I started thinking "Maybe I'm dreaming." So I turned around and checked my watch to do a RC. Looked back at it, and the time was totally different, and then realised I was dreaming, so I smiled, ran through my front door and immediately started flying (I love flying in my dreams, it's so fun). I just flew around the neighbourhood, but not too much coz it was dark. Then I flew to a pub and started chatting with some patrons having some beers, and some of the staff there enquiring about the working conditions. I then ended up back at home where my girlfriend was sleeping on my bed. I still knew I was having a lucid, so I tried to fly across the room, into the wall and tried to pass through it, but I just hit the wall hard and crashed into the ground. I figured I'd had enough and just sort of drifted off into other dreams.

Even in lucid dreams, are some things still impossible? At the back of my mind, even when I was flying at the wall, I knew that passing through the wall was impossible, and that doubt caused me to just smash into it. Will I be able to train myself to pass through walls in the future, or are some things just too riduclous even on a subconcsious level to be able to be performed?

Yeah, you should be able to train yourself to go through wall no problem. Just concentrate on the other side rather than the wall.

I've only found one thing that seems to be impossible in dreams, and that's really, really fast flight. The problem is once you go fast enough, everything becomes a blur. You can't have motion with out something to move relative to, so once things blur out of existence, you stop moving.

It's never good to think that some stuff is impossible in a lucid dream (though it's true, but you really have to be TRYING to make it impossible). Going through a wall is definitely possible, and I recall doing so on at least two occasions. I wasn't flying though, but simply walked through. The Cusp is right, don't focus on the wall itself, but on what's on the other side. This is probably harder if there's no window or anything, but it works. In the times I've done it I could see the other side, and tried not to look at my actual body passing through. Also, maybe try taking it slower rather than flying into the wall. Just make sure you're confident, otherwise you'll have worse odds.

Hey thanks for the tips! Yeah it does make sense once you think about it. Because all I could do was imagine myself NOT making it through the wall and that doubt probably affected the outcome. Slowly walking through it? That sounds pretty cool. I might give that a try if I can!
