      Scary lucid?

Well, YAY! I had a fourth lucid. Only this one was scary

I did sort of a mix of a WILD and a dream- reentry, and as I was falling asleep I felt this heavy blunt force hitting my head and heard a ringing in my ears, wich rather scared me. I had read about this and knew it was perfectly normal and told myself that there was nothing to be scared of. But when I got into the dream, it was kindof like the perspective was off, and even though I knew there was nothing to be scared of, I was still scared. So, was this kindof like a bad lucid dream?

Note: My brain seems to render reality pretty slow. When I flew through the roof and looked down, everything outside of the house I was in was black...

I've had scary lucids as well, and one time it got to the point where I went to bed hoping NOT to have a lucid.

Assuming your lucid lasts long enough, there are plenty of things to do to get rid of whatever is making them scary. For me, dark places usually freaked me out - so I would change scenery entirely, or I would try to light up the place in creative ways.

Scary lucid's can be very irritating. I normally have them when I have a false awakening and I know I am not alone in my room. I will normally change location and from there everything is great

Nothing can hurt you in a dream. My advice: treat it like a video game.

      I dislike scary lucids.

Like Mes Tarrant, if I have one, I always try go to bed hoping not to have a lucid dream at all. But, I get over it. I tell myself it's just a dream, and nothing can hurt me. Sometimes, it works, sometimes, it doesn't.
