      Reality check.

I've had several lucid dreams, some with no experience, but most of them recently.

Last night, I performed a reality check in my dream, but it succeeded! The lettering on the sign was the same after I had looked away.

This is not supposed to happen, especially considering I've used this particular check in a dream before, with success.

      What happened??

Sometimes RCs fail (or give false-positives) in dreams. I'm not sure why this particular one failed in the dream you had. It is always a good idea to try to do multiple RCs, just to be sure.

I think reality checks help me during the day mostly because I tend to entertain the possibility that I am in a dream. I haven't done one in a dream yet.

However, the mind can do a lot of different things. I generally run through a few reality checks for this reason.
