Question Are you a Lucid Sex Addict???

I have read that the most popular lucid activity is suprisingly Lucid sex! And from what i have read on Dreamviews and other ld sites there are alot of people who just can't stay away from it. I had this problem early on but it passed and i can now control myself and focus on other things. I suppose in a realm of complete freedom is understandable that sex is the first thing that comes to mind, especially for males!

So are you a lucid sex addict???

I'm not addicted to lucid sex. It's addicted to me. It won't leave me alone!!

I found that making people have orgasms in ways other than actually gettin' it on is much more entertaining.

      The hand-held ORGASMATRON, duh!

And yes, especially since I got more dream control and lucid sex got better, I've been addicted to it. I've even tried to live out fantasies in LDs. But there's just so much more to be done when you think about it. This morning, I flew for the first time (actually floated) and landed in some beautiful park. It was my longest LD though, and earlier in it i actually did have sex.

What might help is getting rid of the urge before you LD. Maybe masturbate before you go to sleep.

Orgasmatron, of course! Flesh Gordon lol

Yeh as you were saying there are so many other things to be doing other than lucid sex. Congratulations on flying for the first time and having your longest ldbtw it sounds like it was nice with the beauitiful park and all.

Plus you got some nookie which is always a plus.

but yeh so many possibilities, endless so you don't want to be like sex sex sex everytime your lucid which i went through a while back because you are wasting them really. Masturbation is a nice idea to maybe ease the craving.

Simply by touch, by word, by breath on a dc's body, even by back hand. I've even willed myself to an instant orgasm or two while lucid. You could make it happen any way you please, get really creative with it. It's great to watch a dc go into an orgasmic fit at the mere trace of a fingernail down the chest.

I'm no addict. I have sex in lucids at about the same rate as I have sex in non-lucids, which is actually very frequent. I think it occurs in about 30-40% of my dreams. I'd be surprised if this isn't normal. For males the rate should be even higher.

Awesome! I've actually been working on this lately. Haven't managed it yet.

I can't ever remember having sex in a dream, and I definitely won't go for it in lucids, but that's just because of my beliefs. I have had tons of dreams in which I masturbate, on the other hand...

Yea, it can really be a problem. I have a lot of plans about what to do when I get lucid dream. But as soon as I do, BAM, next thing I know Im undressing some girl It can be controled however, it was a problem when I started with LDs, now its ok.

Although I do know a person who owns his own harem in his LDs.

Sorry, but I just don't masturbate nearly as much as most guys. That's what I was basing it on. Testosterone does make a difference whether we like it or not.

Have you had sex? You will do the activities in your dreams that you do during waking life.

I disagree, I have been having sex in dreams long before I had sex in real life.

What you say reflects what the girls in my school say. They said that once they had sex, they started having a lot of dreams about sex. The guys didn't really say if that was the case for them or not, though.

      Also, no. I haven't.

Yea Lucid sex can be quite addicting (but I guess It depends on the person to)

But to me personaly lucid sex is hazardas. I suffer from pre-ejac (even though I'm 16 and am a virgin ) in all my lucid dreams when it comes to sex, which has happended alot recently (and it always ends in a wet dream ), so basicaly I cant last more than 10 sec max when I do the deed, which really sucks because I seem to have a talent to have absolute control over my DC's (which may or may not be a good thing ).

So It looks like I'm ethier gana have to get over LD sex for a while or get used to waking up embarrassed.

I have never had a wet dream after sex in LD.

Btw, it is not only a mental addiction. It is mainly caused by physical condition. When you fall asleep, blood rushes into your genitals. Often you get an erection which causes erotic dreams.

Again, girls crave it just as much. I don't care what you say. And just because you personally don't masturbate as often as "most guys" doesn't mean you don't want to, maybe you just have self-control. But then again maybe i'm giving you too much credit.

Actually, nighttime erections (and their female equivalent - yes, there is a female equivalent) are a phenomenon associated with REM sleep in general have been shown to have no correlation whatsoever with dream content. You're just as likely to wake up with morning wood if you had just been dreaming about your teeth falling out as you would if you had been dreaming about that hottie from work.

"Just as much," huh? And this is based on what - your opinion? Can you really back that up in any way?

The fact is that there is a substantial amount of empirical evidence that men really are more interested in the physical aspects of sex than are women. It's one of the relatively few (compared to public perception) gender differences that has held up under scientific scrutiny. Testosterone, as Alex mentioned, is one of the suspected culprits.

Anatomy is not destiny and all that . . . and neither is gender (if you know the difference), but when we look at men and women as whole groups patterns emerge.

      http://kinseyinstitute.org/resources/FAQ.html:
54% of men think about sex everyday or several times a day, 43% a few times per month or a few times per week, and 4% less than once a month (Laumann, Gagnon, Michael, Michaels, 1994).

19% of women think about sex everyday or several times a day, 67% a few times per month or a few times per week, and 14% less than once a month (Laumann, Gagnon, Michael, Michaels, 1994).

I don't really know how much men and women dream about sex. But apparently on average men do think about it more (didn't need a study to tell me that . . .) Age and length of dreams are undoubtedly also big factors.

Thats what I was trying to say. You dont get erection from erotic dreams, you get erotic dreams from erection.

Actually DuB was stating that there is no correlation between the two. Which makes sense since we're always supposed to have erections at the onset of REM. The erections don't cause sexual dreams and sexual dreams don't cause erections.
