Thread: YES!!! I had my first lucid dream!!!

Wow, words can't describe how happy I am right now! After over a year of trying to get one, I've just woken from my first LD, and I'm on one of the biggest buzzes of my life! It felt just like real life. Ok, there isn't much to it but for those who want a read (I spent most of my time just amazed at how real it felt haha), here goes:

I was stood with my grandma in her front room. She turned on some kind of weird humidifier a sort of handheld fan thing. I sat with her watching TV for a while, and then, for some reason, I knew I was dreaming, but wasn't aware of it.So I turned and said to my grandma "Tell me I am dreaming", and she did (don't know what induction method that was, DILD?). At this point I became completely lucid. The first thing I did was 2 RC's, the finger through the palm (looks so incredible, it was worth the dream just to see/feel it), and the nose-hold one. I rubbed my hands together to get rid of the initial fading of the dream. I then felt the carpet and wall to stabilize the dream, and was just stunned by the realism. I just sat there taking it all in and trying to stay calm. (Some background for the next part- I had been telling my grandma about LD's in RL that evening, and how she should have one, but she said she would never be able to have one). I then told my grandma "we're dreaming, you know". Then she asked me how to prove it so I showed her the finger RC, and she did it. At this point I lost lucidity for a while and watched TV but then gained it again. I decided to look at my hands and saw I had about 20 fingers! I just laughed. I tried to summon someone behind me twice, but couldn't do it. I was then woken up by a truck going past the window in RL, so I came and recorded it here.

Sorry for the long post, but I'm just on a high right now I didn't even do anything that amazing haha (flying etc.).I'm desperately looking forward to the next one, and hopefully I'll complete some of my dream goals. I'd also hope to make it longer, as this only lasted a few minutes. I'll try dream spinning. But anyway they were some of the best few minutes of my life, and I'm now officialy hooked. Thanks for all your help up to this stage guys, and let's hope I have more. Any thoughts/tips are welcome.
