When did you see a very obvious dreamsign but never becam lucid?

What I mean is, what it the time that you got most mad at yourself when you saw or said something that made it obvious you were dreaming, but never became lucid? Heres mine: I was at a friends pool (not sure whos) and everyone from school was there, I went into some group of kids and we started talking about something. I started to realise that this was familiar, and randomly I said "wait a minute, I've had this dream before" then sadly, I continued on and didnt even realise it was dream. I guess I said it was a dream I had before, but never acctually listened to myself.

This isn't something I saw, no, it's worse than that; it's something I did. In the dream I was talking to my friend all about lucid dreams. I was talking about how to induce them, know when you're in them, etc. Then I demonstrated the nose reality check. Yes, demonstrated it. And I could breath. "And it works just like that," I said. Oh, later I started jumping really far and I was in the clothes I fell asleep in. Quite a dream.

I've had some false awakenings where I have "woken up" in a room I've never been in before, then acting like I know it like the back of my hand. Doh.

last night i dreamed that i was yanked out of bed by an invisible being by a piece of thin paper around my neck to the right side of my bed and there's a wall to the right side of my bed so it'd all be impossible. lol 3 clear signs and i never did anything

Just last week i had a dream where i was at my house and there were a bunch of strangers there. I didn't think that was strange because i knew we were having some sort of party. I then walk into my living room and this guy was in there and he told me that i should float across the room. I did exactly that, floated across the room and hit the wall so hard i bounced off as if the wall was rubber. I then landed back at the place i started from and said to the man "This is not a dream because i bounced off the wall." I then woke up and just couldn't be mad because i was too busy laughing at what i said.

My most annoying one was a false awakening where I spent a day in my college with all sorts of crazy stuff happening that I missed. I think that for some reason I dont LD after sleep deprivation cause that was after 2nights + day no sleep. ( Party + work + coffee )

Once I was playing pool on an aircraft carrier while being attacked my meteor showers. There are a few signs in there I should have caught.

I had a dream my house was going to burn down from a bushfire and did a reality check to see if I was dreaming. I tried to stick my finger through my palm but it didn't go through, so I assumed I was awake. Later on I joked to some random gangster dream characters about how I thought I was dreaming. I woke up and realised that I was dreaming, and was annoyed about the reality check failing. Then I fell back asleep and told the gangster dream characters "guess what, I was dreaming!" >.<

The worst one I have ever had is one where I thought about having a lucid dream, and hoped that I would be able to find a dream sign when I fell asleep, although I was already sleeping! God I was so pissed in the morning...

I had one dream where I was in my Spanish class. There were several alarm clocks, and one began to go off. I noticed that the time on both was wrong, something that's caused me to realize that I'm dreaming before, but that time I had no idea why they weren't working, even after spending a couple minutes trying (and failing) to set them correctly.

I've got one normal dream here and one that I got from trying a VILD technique Normal one: I was at a Burger King with some of my friends, but they actually did sell McDonalds food. Well okay, might not seem that suspect, but one of my friends bought a car there too . and no that wasn't a toy car VILD one: After some time of visualizing I kind of thought "I'm to awake" so I turned around and tried to get a little bit more sleepy. Well on that way I started to think of random stuff and suddenly the dream started. All seemed like the horror scenario of the game "Undying" for those who know it. And I just kind of thought "Right, I saved at that state" (must have been thinking I was playing the game, although it was different from the original game) I guess I haven't been that wrong, one day before I had a similar dream, that stopped (at least as I remember) at exactly this point. Soon after the start of the dream I somewhat got scared and just thought "Save and turn of the game" - thats when I woke up and thought "DAMMIT, so close" - that could have been my first LD *sob*

I had a dream that i was in a movie with jack black, like school of rock, but it was School Of Lucid Dreaming, and he was trying to teach kids how to lucid dream. I woke up and promptly swore

the only one i can remember right now is where i was getting up and i went outside my room and both my dead dogs were there.i was like 'oh my god your alive!!!' i was all happy and i showed my mom they were back but later in the dream i'm like wait...doggies can't come back... oh wells! . i woke up and was like...oh...damn it!

I was wrestling with my friend in my room, and his head popped off, like a toy. It was a bit unpleasant . In another dream, there was a singing T-rex. Now how obvious is that

Someone was drowning me, i inhaled, water went in my mouth and straight down, and i didnt choke. I though "oh my lungs are awesome" and strangled him without going lucid

lots of times ive had obvious oppertunities to become lucid but didnt, i dont know whether its my fault or not because sometimes i dont need anything to know that im dreaming and become fully lucid, and other times dc's could be telling me im dreaming and i still wont become lucid, even reality checks fail for me at times.

Seeing my father alive in dreams should be an obvious one, but for some reason... There was also this dream where I did a reality check (the look-at-your-hands one), but they appeared entirely normal, so I thought I was awake.

Altogether, there have been at least 5 t0 10 times where I failed to get lucid when a sign was present. Harry Potter characters, Naruto characters, my parents, and now the Care Bears. So maybe that's 10 to 15 times...

dunno if anyone else has done this or not but one time i thought i was dreaming so i did an RC and my hands were blurry so i thought sweet im dreaming and tried to fly through my wall...i realized quickly that i had just failed to notice i wasnt wearing my glasses so everything in my room was blurry and i just tried to fly into my wall in real life

The other night I had a dream I was talking to my friend about a dream I had about 5 minutes before. When that happens in a dream I usually realize I am still in the same dream but that time I didn't.

A few months back when I just started lucid dreaming, my first technique was the very simple wrist watch reality check. Nearly all my life I've worn a digital watch, so I was already wearing a digital watch in most of my dreams. Anyway, after weeks of wrist watch reality checking in real life, I get a dream where I'm underwater in a lake, and the entire lack bed is covered in digital watches, and not a single one I picked up worked. I didn't become lucid. I guess my subconscious is not without a sense of irony.

When I joined this site, I was so amazed that I started to tell my friends about lucid dreaming and if they knew about it. Every time I talked about LD's I remembered to perform my RC. In that time, I dreamed about telling a friend of mine who knew (just in the dream) about LDs. And I started to tell him about Dreamviews and how to join if he wanted to share his experiences and learn more aobut LDs. We were in a city where this guy would never be in, at a house which is not there anymore, in front of a door which doesn't exist, talking about lucid dreams and I didn't remember to perform my RC!!
